It hits you that the threads you've recently contributed to are about favorite beers, hamburger-cooking conveyor belts, and the demise of reel-to-reel tape. [Eek!]

you no longer have anything useful or relevant to say in the Film Handler's Forum.

your tempted to spout random political propaganda to get threads closed [Cool]

You start a topic that only gets 3 replies. [evil]

You complain about design flaws in equipment that hasn't been manufactured since 1954!

Posted by Michael Schaffer (Member # 1204) on 01-04-2005, 12:07 PM:

...you have only worked with Christie equipment so far.

...you have over 800 posts but no member photo yet.

You reply to this thread with nothing useful to add...oh crap.

Posted by Jon Miller (Member # 163) on 01-04-2005, 07:35 PM:

...you regard the "Hey you, you suck! (AKA: Outing bad film handlers)" thread as a 900-plus post gripe-fest instead of a valuable, cautionary resource on what happens if you don't do film right.

Posted by Mike Olpin (Member # 1115) on 01-04-2005, 08:54 PM:

...You flame or berate other people who may not have had the opportunity to work with as broad a range of equipment as you have.

...You believe a Christie booth is incapable of Film Done Right.

Hooray Mike! I agree.

You've been coming to read FT for 4 and 1/2 years and registered to post for 3 1/2 years, but have less than 200 posts. [Big Grin]

...your little ego feels personally flamed by very general remarks.

...you own a copy of Episode 1 or 2 (or worse even, both).

Not true Ms. Rachel, I've had my beard for more than 3 years now! And before that, I had a mustache/chin beard for a couple years. [Cool] Although for the most part I look just like that, and am that white...it's the Irish in me. [Big Grin] Meant to take a snap of me with my cousin's digital camera when I took pictures of my theater (which still aren't in the pictures section [Confused] ) so I guess I will get around to that. At least I HAVE a member photo. [thumbsup]

...it's your fault that certain people/places/things/adjectives get added to the forum's automatic filter. [uhoh]

...you manage to piss everybody off at least once. [eyes]

...you bump threads up to the top by simply typing "Bumping this up to the Top" without adding to the conversation, and the thread ends up several pages down in a week's time with no further replies. [Big Grin]

...only 10% of your posts are to FHF.

...you're away for several weeks and no one notices.

...the only contribution you've made in years is an embarassingly funny video you made while drunk at ShoWest involving a bidet... and Brad hasn't even posted it yet.

...the only comments you can add to any thread are the equivalent of "Wokka wokka wokka!"

...the only pertinent information you can give about projection starts with "When I worked at Cinema West." (which was 5 years ago).

Man... I really should post more at Cinematour, where I'm slightly less expendable. [Wink]

... you're one of the few people that actually admits to playing D&D even though you're on a forum full of geeks.

I am NOT a GEEK!

Now let me get back to my star trek dvd collection and stop bothering me!!!

The fact that I know WAAAAY too much about the new star trek series and hate it as well is the first clue I have absolutely NO USE for film-tech.

Ciao mon

Dave

Apparently I'm not expendable anymore. I'm a featured update.
