How many cows does it take to fill up a milk tanker truck?
Posted by John Hegel (Member # 628) on 02-20-2005, 03:22 AM:
I'll go find a herd of cows and get back to you on that one.
It does take about 215,000 cracked and separated chicken eggs to fill a tankers.

Richard,
Unless you are being audited, why are you at work at 3am?
GEEZ!
*(or a build up night), but GEEZ! 3 am?
ok I take that back,
So anyways.....
How come you can build a building, but you can't building a build?

Depends on what size tank you're talking about. A 48' tanker trailer is around 10,000 gallons, while a small straight truck tank is about 4,500 gallons.
If you can find out how many gallons one cow produces over a period of time, you can do some division and have your answer.
Some things I think of a 3am: - Why don't I just run over that guy up there?
- Need to find a good place to pull off...
- That girl in high school came on to me, why didn't I go for it?
- Damn, I can't stand that song!
- I wonder what the girl at the fuel desk looks like naked?

Well, since I manage a drive in, my last movie doesn't usually drop till almost 2 and then there is the final paperwork to get done.
Have you ever gotten to the point where you just laugh at anything and everything that is said?

To answer the production question about cows...
I've heard that soe cows are looking to become organized so...
Are we now asking about skilled coews or unskilled ones, or...
Ones which may be looking to join a union or stay out of the union.
Just joking about the union thing there; as I'd be more than willing to be the first person to sign up to become a union member.

Without looking up any figures I believe an average cow will produce 100 gallons of milk per day, so 100 cows to fill up a 10,000 gallon truck.

3 am is nothing. that is almost laughable.

The average California cow produces 19,825 pounds of milk each year.
or about 6.78 gallons per day. It will take 1473 cows to fill a tanker with milk.
Now if we are talking about liquefying cows...
An average cow will weigh 1,300 pounds 1300/8 = 162.5 gallons of cow juice per cow. 10,000/162.5 = 61.538 cows to fill a milk tanker.

If I was stuck working at 0300 hours- something that would be going through my mind:
If paid hourly- wheres the shift differential pay?
Or, Darn wish I would have taken that job with bankers hours.

If I were working at 0300 at the theatre, I would probably be asking myself, "Why in the fuck is the safe short $1,500.00???
"

Ahh, those fun little errors. Its always something stupid, but finding it....
And I don't know why but I have this '100' number stuck in my head in relation to a cows milk production per day. Seven gallons eems a bit low but now that I think of it 100 is definately too high. *Shrugs* oh well, too lazy to google it.

Let me make this revision to the earlier postings on this thread...
How many people are actually able to clearly think at that time in the morning; without operating in some type of mindless automatic drone mode?

um....when I worked @ AMC, staying till 3am happened quite a bit. Especially when movies come out on Midnight (LOTR:ROTK comes to mind), I was there until 4:15ish....plus is something breaks or the shit hits the fan on buildup.
and
Could I put a really small LED or LCD panel in front of the reader (Dolby, DTS, or SDDS) and write a program to display the data to get the sound I want? <--- this was a 3:45am question

When I was working at 3 AM I'd be thinking about food. Friends and I would go to the local Denny's and gossip about the other theatre workers. And our plot to take over the world one theatre at a time.

Jen--
You've been hanging around Will too long!
Posted by Jennifer Pan (Member # 2035) on 02-25-2005, 10:36 AM:
Floyd, I've never met Will, I guess that tells you a lot about me.
3 AM is nothing at the ol' AMC, close to 5 AM was my record... it would have been longer but I really needed to get home before the parental interrogation.

At 3 am I think why the hell am I at work still. If I had just called in sick like the voices in my head told me to, I’d be getting drunk/laid right now…what the hell was that! Did someone just walk by? Hey! Who’s there? Oh well, guess it was nobody..i cant believe I let them trick me into working today. I have to think of a way to get them back. They’ll learn not to do that…what the? Now I know I saw something. Hello? Who’s there? Is it the ghost of Christmas past? If it is, I have a bone to pick with you!! (Silence). Yeah, that’s what I thought!...Why the hell hasn’t my girlfriend called, isn’t she worried about me? I hope she’s not out messing around while I’m here working like a crazy person, cuz that’ll piss me off. I should call her. Where the hell is my phone? Damnit, I think I left it in the back of the concession. I bet the cleaning crew took it and they’re probably looking at all my pictures and calling people. Damn, I hate them. Always staring at me, and stealing nachos. Who do they think they are? I can do a better job then them. Aahhh c’mon! why don’t they let us know ahead of time if there is going to be a fade in on a new reel. I’m just gonna cut it here, the stupid customers wont know the difference. But I will, damnit, I guess I’ll cut here instead. This sucks, and all these damn reels are tails. I hate it when they do that. I should get a raise for this. If I had a raise, I could have a better car, and I wouldn’t miss work so much, but does management think of that, no, they only think of themselves and letting their friends watch movies for free. Damn, I hate them too. finally, last reel. I’ll just let this run, while I start shutting things off…whoa, what was that!! hey, I saw you this time. Juan, why do you always sneak up here and try and scare me? is that my phone? Who did you call on it? Nobody? Yeah right, damn liar. Go get me some nachos!!

Yeah, how many cows DOES it take to fill a tanker full of milk?
But, more importantly: Who was the first guy who decided to squeeze a cow's back end then drink whatever came out?
You'd also have to be one HUNGRY S.O.B. to be the first guy in the world to eat a lobster!
And, CHEESE!? Roquefort cheese? Limburger cheese? What kind of idiot would squeeze a cow's ass, take whatever came out, let it sit in a dark cave until it turned green and THEN try to eat it!?
One BALLSY Mofo!
Now, you've got lobster, milk and cheese.
What kind of RETARD would put them all together, in a pot, bake it in the oven (lobster bisque) then try to EAT it!?
Just the SMELL of lobster cooking makes me want to heave my guts out! (Literally!) Milk? Gives me the screaming shits! Explosive Diarrhea! (Not kidding!)
Why the FUCK would I want to eat that?! I'd be puking and shitting my guts out for the rest of the night!!
That's the kind of shit I think about at 03:00!
