I am working with a group to save the L.J. "Cap" Emmons Auditorium in Albert Lea Minnesota. I have been working on this project for some time now, but unfortunately the property has been sold and is scheduled for demolition.

We have ran out of ideas on how to approach the new owners (Mayo Health Care)to get them to save this building.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to try?

Here is an overview of the project.

The site is only a quick reference, so please don't be to critical.

Easy! Have somebody apply for a permit to turn it into a strip joint!

There will be a community outrage against it and people will start picketing and protesting the site.

Then somebody else comes along and proposes that the community take up a collection to buy the building out from under the current owner and incorporate it as a civic landmark.

Building saved! [Big Grin]
