More information about the Magic-Cone
Not sure what a woman would do if they had to take a disgusting, smelly dump. Maybe they will come out with some sort of anal tube for paranoid women.

For the woman who always wanted one...
The paper penis!

Excuse me for yelling...
I DID NOT NEED TO SEE THAT!!!!!!!!!
(There ... I feel much better now.)

Hey, if I can get a dispenser installed in the ladies room, I might be able to get by with adding urinals in the ladies room (to increase capacity without requiring as much space)!!!!

I wouldn't trust that I wouldn't, um, wet myself... What if you didn't have it in the perfect position?
No, but seriously...

I dont even know how to respond to that 'contraption'. But hey, at least us women can now write our names in the snow just like you guys out there!
j/k

Now THAT'S innovation!
Of course, what they oughta do is just invent a folding, sanitary, disposable riser so the invasive procedure of dealing with 'the cone' won't be involved AND you get more functionallity.
On the flip side i bet they'd make funny lookin' devil horns on some kid who doesn't know what they're really meant for.
Serriosly though...are those for real?

Allison, I LUV it! That's hilarious!

What I want to know is how the hell did Joe find that. I mean what was he looking for on the Internet.
Joe, what on earth did you type into google to find that?
Posted by Ken Layton (Member # 133) on 03-27-2005, 09:29 AM:
All it needs now is some "balls" to go with it!
Now what if we had some on screen 'public service' advertisements for these? It would be weird to say the least. I can't wait for the "As seen on TV" ad.
I could see these things being put in a vending machine in the women's restroom, but I think it would kind of imply that the restroom was not exactly clean.
How come this device hasn't been on the tv news yet?

Nah nah nah nah. Why disturb all of your seat mates when having to run to the loo? Why should you miss key plot points and crucial dialog from the latest Vin Diesel art pic (which is running today only and out on DVD tomorrow)? Until theaters have the decency to equip each urinal and toilet stall with LCD panels and digital surround sound (screen automatically selected by RFIDing your ticket stub--one of the few advantages of digital product distribution for theaters) why bother with leaving at all? Just "do it" right there in your seat with one of these:

Your seat mates will appreciate your consideration!

Paul, that is hilarious!

James, I saw it on another forum I visit.

The problem with your container suggestion, Paul, is that it is a little too, um, "out in the open". What the well-prepared patron really needs is something a little more discreet, like one of these...

Stadium Pal/Stadium Gal

Jon, that's hilarious! Read the FAQ page...a great animated GIF at the top of the men's Pal page.
Too funny!

Jon,
Sorta' reminds me of Burt Reynolds in Semi Tough.
There have been versions of "Magic Cone" on the market, in one for or another, for at least 100 years. It's nothing new. It's just that, until now, there has't been the technology to distribute distrubing images of such a product to millions of people worldwide via the internet.
One thought:
Women accuse MEN of having bad aim. Right?!
If these things proliferate, I would say that the conditions of womens' restrooms would DETERIORATE rather quickly. Men, wheter claims of poor aim are founded or not, have been having to set their sights on the pissoir for their entire lives. Womens' sense of aim will be poorly developed. There will be a lot more "collateral damage". MORE women will be tempted to hover over the toilet. Collateral damage will increase exponentially from there on!
This could be prevented if you take Justin's suggestion of putting urinals in the womens' rooms as well but that would increase construction costs. Basically, no matter how you slice it, cost will increase. Cost of installing new fixtures and keeping them clean and in working order... OR... Cost of keeping urine-soaked toilet seats clean, lest you cause women to shit and piss all over the floor, thus FURTHER increasing cleaning costs.
Another thing: If you put urinals in the Womens' rest rooms how am I supposed to know if I found my way to the right gender bathroom when I go out and get piss-drunk? That's one of my two biggest clues to making sure I don't get all liquored up and walk in on some woman in the rest room as I stumble in to take a leak...
What color are the walls? AND Are there urinals in here?
If the walls are pink or red, or if they have "girly" designs I have a clue that I'm in the wrong place. If they are blue or green, I know I'm likely to be in the clear. If I can't tell by the decor it will be patently obvious that I'm in the right place if there is a urinal.
Trust me... It's not a pretty scene when some drunk asshole stumbles into the wrong shitter!... Screaming... Yelling... No fun!

Allison, Rachel, et al: If this product catches on and modern building designers comply with urinals in the womens restrooms, be forewarned...that woman standing next to you (at the neighboring stall) may just be staring at how "long" your cardboard tube is!

cooool!
Did not know that also women can have a penis - if they want.
Unfortunately men will lose their privilege peeing while standing.
2 all women here: would you use that?
Posted by Rachel Gilardi (Member # 1016) on 05-30-2005, 03:31 PM:
Would I use that...
Uh, there seems to be good points and bad point to it. While not using a nasty public toilet seems like a plus, the bad aim and fear of "leakage" kind of outways the odds for me.
Probably not unless I was camping or something...
Posted by Michael Schaffer (Member # 1204) on 05-30-2005, 04:48 PM:
I see great potential for that device as a comedy nose.
Posted by Allison Parsons (Member # 2728) on 05-30-2005, 11:29 PM:
I agree with Rachel, I'd probably only use it if I was to go camping. Since we can't 'jiggle', if it could automatically wipe for us too, THAT would be a great idea!

Joe's "Magic Cone" is similar to a product that used to be advertised in Outside Magazine back in the 70's. Sort of a lady's "backpacker's friend." It didn't take off then. I guess it had to wait for the Internet to get widely laughed at.
As far as the "Stadium Pal" goes, anyone remember the "Motorcyclist's Friend" that Burt Reynolds used in "Semi-Tough"? He knows he's going to an EST type meeting where they won't let the participants out to even go to the toilet, so Burt goes to an old motorcycle shop and gets one. Great scene in the movie when hundreds are wailing to pee and you hear the sound of a trickle of liquid hitting the inside of an empty tin on Burt's leg...... Priceless.
BTW, what's with Joe's picture. I thought pictures posted here were supposed to look like the person writing the post. Joe, where did you get that glamour shot done 20-25 years ago? Did they charge extra for all the Vaseline they smeared on the cheese cloth that covered the lens?

What I am just thinkin' about: what is this thing made of? Paper? Doesn't it get soaked while having a p...? Would be wet then when the material tears
By the way: In Europe, some years ago, a device called "Lady P" was invented. It was sort of an urinal for women. They need to crouch at the urinal as they would ski. Unfortunately I don't have any photos. If I remember correctly, women didn't appreciate this urinal. I don't know why.

I'm with Justin on the "women's funnel" thing. We keep SPOTLESS restrooms at my theatre, however most of the women insist on "HOVERING", which in turn they pee all over the seat, much like my 5 year old. And exactly like my 5 year old... they walk out and leave it.
Posted by Allison Parsons (Member # 2728) on 06-07-2005, 04:17 PM:
Even though we may leave a few little 'presents' while hovering, there were PLENTY of times while I was a janitor where men would dribble on the floor while (i'm assuming) 'shaking'. So both sexes has their own downside while using public toilets.

From reports & occasional observation as a tourist, I understand the mess in the ladies' room is always MUCH more extensive. I saw two temp workers walk off without being paid for their previous time when they were assigned to clean the ladies' restroom after a big show.
I hate to be such a techie, but if they're gonna hover, the fixtures for public ladies' rooms need to be re-designed to specifically accommodate hovering, like urinals in men's rooms are designed for their specialized (non-residential) use. They obviously are not going to follow the instructions of Melvin Jackson.
Woman in front row at concert jumping up & down & screaming while the band tries to play the audience warm-up before Bobby Bland comes on: "I WANNA SEE BOBBY! I WANNA SEE BOBBY!"
Melvin Jackson, Bobby Bland's bandleader: "You want to see Bobby?"
W: "I WANNA SEE BOBBY! I WANNA SEE BOBBY!"
MJ: "Then sit cha ASS DOWN!"
