Is this true that there will be additional footage in the dlp presentation of ep3 that will not be in the film release?

don't know about that but our booking department was given the films running time the other day. It is 148 minutes.

Really Darryl? The email we got from our booker said 133. Does your booker include 15 minutes of trailers in their run times?

Posted by Darryl Spicer (Member # 711) on 04-15-2005, 07:15 PM:

No they don't include the extra time. This information was given to us by our head film buyer. Actually it would be nice if it was 133mins but I hope they tell us that by monday because that will be when tickets go on sale.

148 mins, wouldn't that be the longest of the SW films?

Available today (Fri 4/15/05). No need to wait.

You have the Digital Cinema data files? Unlocked for showing? [Eek!] I thought the trade screenings were in early May, at least two weeks away.

That would be tickets are on sale now. Ours went on sale this past weekend.

No, I don't have the files, just tickets for sale.

Yes I will have trade screenings.

So what's the final word on the run time?

An official run time has yet to be given out, but fox gave our booking department the estimate of 2 hours 25 minutes. They said they may not know the exact time until the week before it starts.

The Arclight Cinemas website is giving a running time of 141 minutes.

with added rolling stock and trailers that would be about right, figure 3 minutes for rolling stock another 8-10 for trailers

that makes sense, since the DLP theatres will just be running the special extended edition DVD. Besides, if Lucas cuts scenes from the film version, theres less film to get scratched. [Big Grin]

Oh no Paul I ment as a general rule of thumb sorry...just assuming. [Cool]

Fantastic Four 2?

Mr. & Mrs. Smith 2?

That's pretty confident marketing, starting to advertise the sequels before the originals come out.

That would be trailer version 2 on each.

Figured as much. But it made a good funny though. [Big Grin]

The Fantastic Four trailer should be the showest trailer they showed this year. That trailer should garner some hype from people and help the film get some attention.

I personally got more excited watching that trailer (F4) than the SW EP3 trailer.

It looks like it is.

However this did not list but i know for a fact that the pod racing scene is like 5 minuts longer on the dvd.
