On the chat board last night, Michael wrote 'Don't they turn the power off in Yorkshire after 9pm?'. Before I was able to reply, my ADSL connection dropped (presumably because the exchange had just gone down). About a minute later, all the power did indeed go off, and then stayed off for about two hours! The cut must have hit quite a bit of the city, too, because I looked out of the front door and couldn't see any street lights anywhere.

So Michael, when will 35mm projection disappear? Who will be the next president? Which side will win The Ashes (not that predicting that will be very difficult, sadly)? Do tell...

Predicting stuff like that isn't difficult. After all, Leo you live in a third world country, stuff like that is just likely to happen.

I will be happy to answer your other burning questions as well:
35mm projection will be predominant for at least 12 years more.
The next US President will be Arnold Schwarzenegger.
What is "The Ashes"?

Leo
Surely if Michael was psychic he would have answered these questions before you posted them [Confused]

One day I lost my mind.

I think Michael found it. [Eek!]

"The Ashes" is the bi-annual cricket test match between Australia and England, where the winner gets the "ashes" said to be the ashes of cricket, or a cricket wicket.

Itīs a big deal in these two countries, and if Iīm psychic enough Iīm guessing Australia, but itīs up to you Michael.

Any corrections welcome. A swede explaining cricket to an american german... Thatīs what I get for being an anglophile and listening to my sis, now living in London.

It therefore follows that there will be a constitutional amendment before 2008 to allow a naturalized US citizen to be elected President.

Nah. Arnie doesn't stand a chance. 'Governator' has a certain ring to it, but what would we call him if he becomes the President? [Big Grin]

Gunnar - if your sister is brave enough to venture into darkest Yorkshire, there are still seats available for the Bangladesh match at Headingley (we don't bite up here, even if there is the occasional power cut).

Any more questions?

Yeah, Schaffer - One more question:

About third world: Wasn't it Brocken, You originally came from ?

[Big Grin]

No Per, I am originally from Berlin. That is a city in Germany.
But that's not a psychic question.

What are the next Mega Millions lotto numbers going to be?

Posted by Per Hauberg (Member # 529) on 05-20-2005, 03:08 PM:

---and Berlin to Brocken is what: 2-3 hours.... And Brocken is where all the witches and sorcerers meet.
Psychic? - Well, -You did foresee a year ago, that I would become happy with my FP30, and You were absolutely right. Better visit the next convent in Brocken anyway [beer]

William: 7 - 23 - 25 - 42 - 46 - Mega Ball 24

Per: It is about 3 hours from Berlin, but so far I have only passed by the Brocken on the freeway ("Autobahn"), never visited any of the conventions there. The FP30D thing is not a psychic prediction either. It comes from 20 years of experience with the brand.

Brad asked: "When will movies be good again?" Well, that#s a far more difficult question to answer than, for instance, predicting the Mega Million numbers. But I think we will have to wait quite a while until we get a higher density of great new releases. All the established directors in action right now are pretty much burned out, repeating themselves. What we would need is a new generation of film makers who try new things.
