As I was using Film-Guard I noticed a familiar smell, It was the Film-Guard, it smells just like the gun cleaner Hoppes No9, did any one else notice this?

Shhhhhhh, that's supposed to be a secret

Sorry this was supposed to be in the Film-Yak section, could someone either lock it or move it? Again sorry for the trouble, it has been one of those days.

Actually, Hoppes #9 is far 'sweeter' smelling that FG ever could be.

Y'Mean that I can clean my guns with FilmGuard?!

Shoot, I've used FG for slicking up pad roller shafts and a whole bunch of other small lub situations (great for shutting up squeaky platter rollers, doors hinges-almost anything that WD-40 and "3 in 1" oil would be used as well...lol)
...good for killing spiders as well - LOL

Film Guard smells and looks exactly like LPS #1 when the LPS is in the non aerosol version. All these products are probably nearly the same & made in the same factory, jusr different marketing.

Hardly.
...and it smells like bug spray, and gun cleaner and a bazillion other things too...blah, blah, blah.

Ah, Film-Guard; The all purpose chemical, no need for those other film cleaners, get Film-Guard and not only clean your film but also clean your gun and kill bugs, but remember do not clean your lenses with it.
