Horror-Thon at the Lafayette this weekend.

Anyone going? I'll be there for House of Wax and Son Of Frankenstein.

I wanted to go, but I just couldn't get a flight, and a hotel room at an affordable price this weekend. A couple of weeks earlier, or later, and flights were much cheaper.

I've never seen 3-D there, but I have been to several conventional shows; they put on a very good presentation, and the venue should be very suitable for 3-D.

One of the best 3-D films, and a great theatre to see it in; come on folks, it's got to be worth going to. For anybody who can get there, the place is well worth seeing. It's West of the Hudson, just a few hundred metres into NY, fron NJ. Served by NJ Transit, and Metro North Port Jervis line trains from Hoboken Terminal, or from NY Penn Station, changing at Secaucus. About five minutes walk from Suffern station. I've no idea how to get there by car, but I'm sure it can't be too difficult.

The Loew's Jersey are also starting a new season of shows, both film and live events, and are now publishing details several months in advance.

Not too far away from these is the Union County Arts Centre, in Rahway NJ, the third American theatre that I've been to. All three are worth a visit.

Another fine show put on by Pete and the rest of the crew at the Lafayette! House of Wax in double system interlock was great as always. Son of Frankenstein was good, but Frankenstein is probably my least favorite monster. The print had a really bad scratch for about two or three minutes in (I think) the third reel, which was obviously not their fault. Other than that, it was a flawless 20 minute change-overed presentation. Great job, guys! [thumbsup]

I wish I could have stayed for the whole weekend.
