A new level of awesome has been reached. I especially love the special edition VCR head cleaner. [thumbsup]

VERY funny! [Big Grin]

I love the fact Joe's setup is so great that the TV has even been calibrated so everything is displayed in the wrong ratio! Great work! [Big Grin] [thumbsup]

Joe,

I can't believe in your modesty that you forgot to mention the THX approved official C3PO Yellow Chair? Such a rare item should be pointed out to all of us cluelesss minions who can only tremble in the wonderfulness that is all things THX.

I'm sure you used the "Land Speeder" calibrator to bring the chair up to the proper standards, correct?

I think I like the wood paneling on the walls behind Joe the most. It's so 2005. I have got to have it installed in every room of my house!!
 -
That is THX-approved wood paneling, right? Otherwise, I don't want it.

Joe’

The InferSonics range was just positively shocking, all the hairs on the back of my neck stood up….with THX approval [thumbsup]

In fact this home cinema looks morbid no style at all….

Looks like Joe’ raided a porn shop in Denver….LOL

However the incident is been investigated by the FBI [Big Grin]

Can you tell me where I can buy a Film-Tech t-shirt?

Posted by Joe Redifer (Member # 3) on 10-25-2005, 11:50 AM:

Of course the wood panelling is THX SPL 110db JBL Episode III Obi Wan approved!!!

Hmm, I see laserdiscs but no LD player- do you have the special adaptor that fits them in the DVD player? (And what's with that COPY of Star Trek IV?)

This is cracking me up too much- I'm gonna send in some pictures of MY private THX home cinema, featuring the world's only THX-certified CED Videodisc player! [Razz]

Jesse’

Lets see it, but it has to be way better than Joe’s’ THX approved laughing stock pile of misfits of science. [Eek!]

ah..but just you wait-he'll go out and make a few service calls, make some serious fat, that that corner of the room and build it up REAL fancy. Then upchuck that TV for a digital projection device, hide those speakers behind a micorperf Harkness screen with full adjustable maskings, build himself a wicked soundrack and shelves to put his playback equipement, have all of the speakers tuned and aligned, call up THX for certification and finally blow Andy's setup out of the water..(LOL)

Monte'

Wooo I’m quaking in my shoes, those loudspeakers are not even matched, and besides the cost that he will spend on it can he do it at the affordability level and make it sound like a $ million dollars.

Joe Redifer’ mad projectionist a man barely alive with himself, we technology we can rebuild his home theatre, better stronger louder……

The six-million dollar projectionist ……

Andy don't knock Joe's private THX 10 channel 70mm THX Dolby Digital dts EX plus ES magnetic THX JBL Kintek DVD THX cinema. The bass is so powerful in there you will crap your pants from all of the vibrations of your bowels.

And this says nothing of the incredible warmth and realism of the quality of the dialogue. The trick is all in the calibrating of the system. [Razz]

Andy, The last time Joe turned his system on in Denver, it knocked me out of bed in New York. That is one heck of a subwoofer he has installed.

So Joe, a "Loveseat" is usually a small sofa made for ***two***. We all know you're in2 "self-love", but what do you do with yourself in that single seater? [Wink] [Razz] [Eek!] [evil]

Kintek in the system.... Joe is not engaging with the action flick and fine THX sound reproduction.... Joe is actually yelling and screaminig [Mad] in the picture.... his Kintek Processor [evil] just died right in the middle of the most important scene and he has to refund the house [Eek!] !

Well, originally I made a post in "Afterlife" because there wasn't an "Afterdeath" heading to post it under.... but some prick deleted it... you coulda also moved my post over here Mr. Prick!

Joe's photos were pretty damned funny.

But I'm laughing harder at the animation of that dude smacking the lady up side her head. I'm sorry.

Brad,

Actually mine was the first post regarding the pics if you look at the time stamp.... I almost put it on Bob Marrs joke page [thumbsup] which is really where it belongs. Placing it in Afterlife was part of the humor I saw and was intended... So I hereby request that you delete all of these posts and re-instate the initial thread that was started [Big Grin] [Wink] [Roll Eyes] [Confused] [Razz] [uhoh] .

Well at least now Andy knows my private THX cinema (yes, CINEMA!) kicks the hell out of his. Not only is it more private, but it is even more THX and more cinema. I feel sorry for you, Andy. You won't get to hear Star Wars Episode III in my private THX cinema. George Lucas says it sounds better than anything at Skywalker Ranch. Don't believe me? E-mail him and ask!

I was Playing Medal of Honour (European Assault) on my PS2 on a small Mono portable TV in my bedroom at home.

The Game starts with the THX Approved trailer at the beginning.

Dose this mean that my bedroom is THX approved & where do I send the cheque.

Yes, folks, laugh. But, I'll bet the sound quality is STILL BETTER than a couple of the sound systems where I work!

Now that's really HIGH(smoking something)tech. Hay Joe, why didn't you just use the 3" speaker in the TV for your center channel?

Bob,
I know you are right... because I know where you work..... If you at least had one of the THX clock Radios in each auditorium..... well things might just be a bit better and on time.

You've seen the pictures, e-mailed George Lucas, and heard the testimony of others. It is most definitely good stuff if not the BEST stuff. My private THX Cinema is the best JBL SPL THX 115db WOW room ever! And I know you are jealous. I just watched Lawrence of Arabia and the overhead WOW THX SPL channel was so incredible! Such wonderful dialog and great movie. Watched my SPL DB meter throughout the entire show. Quietest scene was 220dbc!

I am so going to England to check that out...

That's a pretty cool tv, actually.

Posted by Joe Redifer (Member # 3) on 10-27-2005, 08:39 AM:

What's really cool about that THX SPL tv is that it has a port for an 8-track cassette tape right in the center!

So it's SDDS-8 too? WOW!!!

Posted by Mark Lensenmayer (Member # 134) on 10-27-2005, 02:04 PM:

Joe,

I am so envious. THX SPL WOW JBL DOBLY (better than Dolby!) 220dbC awesomeness with an overhead channel..I just can't imagine the sheer power of that sound.

MY DINNER WITH ANDRE must be absolutely SPECTACULAR on that system. I bet you can hear the dishwasher running in the kitchen.

Did you also install the basement speaker for proper reproduction of subway trains and the movie "TREMORS"? George would be proud!

Now, can it accurately present DAMNATION ALLEY? I would love to relive the glory that was SOUND 360!

I like the fact that boxes are used as a TV stand and speaker stand. To be able to afford such wonderful THX bla bla bla ... and yet forget about the other accessories.

BTW Brad, Joe's new member pic you captured from the collection freaks me out. [uhoh]

Joe it's time for your THX system to get recertified. Would you like to upgrade to the Platinum Certification?

Posted by Mark Gulbrandsen (Member # 72) on 08-16-2007, 01:57 PM:

While on the subject of a re-cert... I'd be willing to do it for alot less than the 10 grand THX charges you.... Say about 9 grand or so.... I just hope your HVAC system hasn't deteriorated to a point above the approved NC-95 level....

It doesn't work like that. THX pays me lots of money and a bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to let them come out and adjust their standards to meet my room!

The Famous Andy is also on this Forum as JBL4645, just look how many Surround Speakers he has [Eek!] .

Audio Heritage

I wonder if Joe's THX Venue can beat this or should we ask Andy to carry out the next THX cert [Big Grin]

I could never figure that guy out... why go all out for sound system and use such a small crappy monitor for video?

Posted by Mark Gulbrandsen (Member # 72) on 08-17-2007, 06:37 PM:

What amazes me is the guy has any recognizable picture on the TV screen at all with all those JBL magnets in close proximity!!

I'll take my extended definition monitor any day over his PAL hunk of junk... I've got extra wide video bandwidth with a response of 4.5mhz, 4 picture IF stages and three seperate IF stages for audio. The Picture stage feeds a high tech 10BP4 RCA kinescope tube with rare earth P-4 phosphor while the dual diode vaccum tube based audio detector feeds a rare 4"X6" field coil powered speaker with a 4 watt class A tube power amp. None of todays TV's can even come close to its performance. I can even do picture in picture... If you get just the right distance back from the monitor and look cross-eyed at it the 3" Pilot set down below looks just like picture in picture, and I don't even have to fiddle with the remote to get it!! The 3" Pilot is even in color... I'd like to see Sony pull this one off with something that even comes close(to consumming this much power)!
