Maybe it is just me but the font seems to have changed today (10-31-05) in the forums, titles and such.

Not trying to jump ahead of Bobby Henderson, but I'll take a guess: The font used to be "Verdana" and is now just standard Arial, am I right?

I find it just slightly more eye-friendly the way it is now, but it's fine either way.

It looks to me like a Verdana-Arial switch. I've also noticed that it reverts to the old style after a quote, in a single post.

Trajan and Arial kick ass. I really don't understand why there would need to be any other fonts other than those two. If you need a different typeface, it is always wise to stretch and distort Trajan or Arial to achieve the highly professional results you wish for and then collect the huge check from your immensely impressed client.

Holy Crap!

Last night I'm seeing Arial on the forums. Now I just get back home from watching the Monday Night Football Game at a friend's place and I see the most overused movie title font in history!! TRAJAN!

But Trajan does look better than Arial -at least style wise. It's a little difficult to read used in this manner. Too bad most computer users won't be seeing it. Gotta be running some Adobe stuff to have the font!

I think the old font (Verdana) looked best. It's normally what I specify as the default when making Cascading Style Sheets for web pages.

Speaking of something else with Trajan on it, gotta run to Wal-Mart and pick up that damned SW EPIII disc (and stuff to take to work for lunch tomorrow).

BTW, Joshua, the Looney Tunes thing is really a logo, not a font. Just custom drawn lettering. But it looks quite a bit like Futura Extra Bold

Source of Trajan: lettering on the base of the Trajan Column (a tribute to the Roman Emperor, Trajan), carved around 1000 years ago.

Do you have any idea what font was used for the "Odeon" part of that logo?

I can identify the "DRIVE-IN" part- It's Futura extra bold.

The "Odeon" letters look pretty odd. My first hunch is custom hand drawn lettering. If they come from a font it's from some odd-ball font I don't know. The "Drive-In" part could be Futura Extra Bold, if it is artifically stretched. But it looks more like Antique Olive Nord to me.

It's obviously a custom font since the letters connect together so perfectly. No real font does that well.
