As you've no doubt noticed, we at Film-Tech are mighty curious about you crazy people. We know that you pee in the shower and that you walk loops around your car before getting in. So, when you take a giant dump, do you look in the toilet to see the result before you flush? Please also answer the following:
-Do you wipe your ass sitting down or standing up?
-Do you try to conserve paper or do you grab a huge wad?
-Do you keep wiping until nothing comes off on the toilet paper anymore, or do you just give it a quick wipe or two and hope it is clean?
-If you are a man and you are taking a dump, do you take the opportunity to pee sitting down like a woman, or do you insist on peeing while standing up because you are too manly to sit?
-Do you prefer American or Japanese automobiles?
-Do you flush the toilet after you pee, or do you wait until you drop some logs so you can say you are saving the planet by conserving water? If the latter, do you like it when pee splashes on your ass when you drop a load?
-Do you take a whiff to smell the result or do you try to hold your breath until you can escape?
Answer these now!
NOTE: Yes, we know about that "rate my crap" website. No need to post that link here, so don't.

-Do you wipe your ass sitting down or standing up?
It's a mid-sit, half-squat. I will claim sitting on this one.
-Do you try to conserve paper or do you grab a huge wad?
Wad.
-Do you keep wiping until nothing comes off on the toilet paper anymore, or do you just give it a quick wipe or two and hope it is clean?
Wipe until the paper's clean. I don't like to offend.
-If you are a man and you are taking a dump, do you take the opportunity to pee sitting down like a woman, or do you insist on peeing while standing up because you are too manly to sit?
If I feel the urge to pee while taking a manly dump, I let it go.
-Do you prefer American or Japanese automobiles?
Japanese. Higher resale value, and that's American in-and-of-itself.
-Do you flush the toilet after you pee, or do you wait until you drop some logs so you can say you are saving the planet by onserving water? If the latter, do you like it when pee splashes on your ass when you drop a load?
Every drop = 1 flush. F*ck the env*ronment.
-Do you take a whiff to smell the result or do you try to hold your breath until you can escape?
I love my own brand. WHIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFF. As with other issues, your mileage may vary!

Hey Joe, I want some of the drugs you've taking lately.
On the other hand, you may have hit on something here and your survey may be of great value to the Charmin people who at this very moment are test marketing ass-wipes (I kid you not). Their campaign hinges on the inference that you couldn't possibly be "clean" with just using toilet paper. They want you to use their wet-wipes. Their ad shows a woman squeezing a glob of toothpaste on her arm and wipeing it off with toilet paper. Of course it smears and isn't all gone by a long shot and the public is supposed to be convinced of how dirty their collective ass remains when they just wipe with paper. Charmin wants to convince us that now we need wet wipes to be "really" clean. I say it would be a lot more impressive an ad and more to the point if she smeared peanut butter on her arm -- a big glob of brown stuff -- instead of tooth paste, but evidently Charmin was trying hard not to get too graphic, and they never actually say the word ASS, instead they show these big cuddly cartoon bears trying to get their butts clean by rubbing them against tree trunks (very bizarre). The Europeans have their bidays, Charmin wants us all to use their biday-in-a-box. Smart marketing move. I bet it catches on big-time. No one wants to walk around thinking they still have toothpast smeared up their assholes.
And just on a serious note, what comes out your butt can tell you alot about your health; a whole slew of diseases from parasites to cancer show evidence in the stool. My mum taught us to always look before we flush. If there is any hint of blood, for example, it could be a sign of serious illness and getting to a doctor quickly could be life-saving. Not checking could let you go for much longer before you realized that you needed medical attention. With something like colon cancer, that wait could be very siginificant.
So yah, always check it out. I been doing it since I was a babe. Only remember not to get freaked out the day after you eat beats.

I had an accident at work, a while back. I went to the doctor at the Occupational Health Center.

I typically look before I flush and I usually watch it go down.
Gotta watch for stranglers.
I wipe sitting down.
I use a big wad of paper
I keep wiping until little or nothing is comes off on the toilet paper.
After that, I use one of the Charmin wet wipes Frank mentioned until it's completely done.
They work.
If I am at home, I typically pee sitting down whether or not I am taking a dump.
Next time you pee standing up, watch as little droplets of water splash out onto the walls, floor, and even YOU.
In public, I typically stand unless I am dumping.
If they have seat covers, I use those.
If not and I really need to dump, paper towels and hand soap usually clean the seat off good enough for me.
I don't have an aotomobile preference.
I flush each time I go.
The splash rarely happens, but I don't mind it.
I don't consciosly take a whiff, but I don't try to hold my breath either.
If I'm at home, I spray some air freshener.

Sitting.
quote: Joe Redifer
Do you try to conserve paper or do you grab a huge wad?
Tends to be a lot, but folded neatly then lightly crumpled to increase skid pad numbers and effectiveness. It's not a wad.
quote: Joe Redifer

In the end things must be clean.

It is most efficient to do both simultaneously whenever possible.

Do you prefer American or Japanese automobiles?
Japanese or German or Swedish all the way baby.
quote: Joe Redifer
Do you flush the toilet after you pee, or do you wait until you drop some logs so you can say you are saving the planet by conserving water?
Again for efficiency one flush per #1+#2 combo session to hold the water bill down. Also flush at the end of any #1-only session since I don't like to leave pee standing in the bowl (or sink or shower). The dog doesn't appreciate it either. The ongoing drought here is becoming a real concern.

If the latter, do you like it when pee splashes on your ass when you drop a load?
I don't mind it. But I am healthy. My shit floats. My shit don't splash.

My shit don't stink. But smell can tell you lots of things about your health.

-Do you wipe your ass sitting down or standing up?
Answer: Almost sitting. Call it a partial squat. At least I'm not standing on my head!
-Do you try to conserve paper or do you grab a huge wad?
Answer: I grab smallish wads. And more of them.
-Do you keep wiping until nothing comes off on the toilet paper anymore, or do you just give it a quick wipe or two and hope it is clean?
Answer: Shitting at home, if the paper isn't clean after the third or fourth wipe, I'm hitting the shower. Fuck it, at some point you just have to punt and bathe. Shitting in public restrooms, I'll use the whole damned roll if necessary! I will not streak up my Joe Boxers!!!
-If you are a man and you are taking a dump, do you take the opportunity to pee sitting down like a woman, or do you insist on peeing while standing up because you are too manly to sit?
Answer: Sitting. Usually I can't piss until after the first log drops anyway. Why would I want to stand at that point? If the first log was messy, I might wind up dropping some left over debris down in my Joe Boxers! Again, I will not streak up my Joe Boxers!!!
-Do you prefer American or Japanese automobiles?
Answers:
Passenger Cars: Japanese
Pickup Trucks: American
Toilets: Western Style.
Has anyone else in this forum ever tried to use a traditional Japanese restroom? Normally you will have had to visit the far east (and done so in previous decades) to experience this. There a few experiences quite like trying to squat over a porcelain sink in the floor and manage to take a dump. Shitting over a urinal might be slightly similar, but probably even more difficult. I don't know if Japanese plumbers are still installing sink in the floor type toilets. But they definitely suck ass.
-Do you flush the toilet after you pee, or do you wait until you drop some logs so you can say you are saving the planet by conserving water? If the latter, do you like it when pee splashes on your ass when you drop a load?
Answer: I may flush after getting rid of the initial cargo and then flush again once finished. As far as pee-water splashing my ass goes, it makes little difference. I may be taking a shower to get truly clean anyway.
-Do you take a whiff to smell the result or do you try to hold your breath until you can escape?
Answer: In general I'm not grossed out by the smell of my own turds. But once in awhile I'll be surprised and have to flush, muttering, "Holy shit! What the hell did I eat?" And then I really wind up having to take a shower. Joe Boxer streak prevention is a high priority. Smell prevention, even higher priority.

Yes, Japanese plumbers still install the asian style squat toilets. If it's an area where westerners are expected to be, you will see a mix of sit-down and squat styles. But if it's a "backstage" area where westerners aren't expected, you will mostly or exclusively see the squat style.
Many say that the squat style is the preferred method since you don't come into physical contact with anything while laying the load and the squatting position supposedly improves elimination. But it is acknowledged that large people may not be able to squat. Rikishi (sumo wrestlers) have issues with this. Most Japanese people think the idea of a public sit-down toilet is gross, though that attitude may be changing with younger people.
In 1995 I escorted a small group of Civil Air Patrol cadets on an aviation exchange trip to Japan as part of the annual IACE (International Air Cadet Exchange) program. On one of our first days there we visited the Sea Paradise marine park in Hakkeijima (near the US Navy base at Yokosuka). During the day a need to visit the loo became apparent. So I'm standing outside with our Japanese hosts waiting for the group to take care of business when we hear a chorus of giggles and laughs coming from the women's side of the otearai (honorable hand washing place) including the exclamation, "It's just a hole!" Couldn't help but laugh as I had forgotten to brief the cadets on this particular aspect of asian and Japanese culture.

When using a urinal, do you wait until you are completely done before you flush, or do you jump the gun thinking that you will be done by the time the flush is complete?
I sometimes jump the gun and have to flush a second time.

Of course, you could be using a urinal with an automatic flush valve, which have a tendency to "jump the gun" if you are wearing a black shirt or black pants.

I think this is on topic ,
THE POO LIST............
GHOST POO : You know you've pooed. There is poo on the toilet paper but none in the toilet.
TEFLON COATED POO : Comes out so slick, clean and easy that you don't even feel it. No trace of poo on the toilet paper, you have to look in the toilet to be sure you did it.
GOOEY POO : This has the consistency of hot tar. You wipe 12 time and you still don't come clean. You end up putting toilet paper in your underpants so you don't stain them. This poo leaves permanent skid marks in the toilet.
SECOND THOUGHT POO : You're all done wiping and about to stand up when you realise it, you've got some more.
POP A VEIN VEIN IN YOUR FOREHEAD POO : This is the kind of poo that killed Elvis. It doesn't want to come out until you're all sweaty, trembling, and purple from straing so hard.
WEIGHT WATCHERS POO : You poo so much that you loose several kilograms.
RIGHT NOW POO : You better be within 30 seconds of a toilet. You burn rubber getting there. Usually, it has its head out before tou get your pants down.
KING KONG POO : This one is so big that you know it won't go down the tiolet unless you break it into smaller chunks. A wire coat hanger works well. This kind of poo usually happens at someone elses house.
CORK POO : ( Also known as a floater.) Even after the third flush, it's still floating in the bowel. My god. How do I get rid of it ??
WET CHEEKS POO : This poo hits the water sideways and makes a big splash that gets you all wet.
WISH POO : You sit there all cramped up for a few minutes, but no poo.
CEMENT BLOCK POO : You wish that you'd gotten a spinal block before you pooed.
SNAKE POO : This poo is fairly soft, about as thick as your thumb, and at least three feet long.
MEXICAN FOOD POO : ( Also called the screamer.) You know it's okay to eat again when your bum stops burning.
BEER DRUNK AND MEAT PIE POO : This happens the day after the night before. Normally your poos don't smell too bad, but this one is BAD !!. Usually this happens at someone elses house and there is someone standing outside the door waiting to use the bathroom.

Okey, since a "flush" topic arrived to us by "yu know who", there is a serious side tone to this - and it pertains to some of us that are the area of slightly advanced years: Colon Cancer and colerectal problems.
Over 50yrs old, or have bleeding problems at any age: get a colonoscopy - both genders needs to get this done. Sound yukky and painful (which it isn't), but it's a lifesaver for sure - if you plan on watching your kids have grandkids for you so you can play with the grandkids and spoil the crap out of them..(LOL).
Bleeding during emissions and afterwards: head to the doctor promptly. Could just be a bad case of internal hemorrhoids, but let the doctor tell you that.
But, a tumor upside the large intestine could be growing and has a good chance of being malignant - which a friend of mine died at the age of 35 with colon cancer due to neglecting such bleeding - he thought he had a lingering case of bleeding hemorrhoids.
So, going back to the topic header: "Do you look.." you should, just to see how you're doing inside - from both sides of the "waste" factory.
I had some bloody stools last year. Went to the doctor and he immediately did a colonscopy on me and found a good sized polyp halfway up inside the large intestine that was bleeding, but thankful it wasn't cancerous.
During the colonscopy, they cut the polyp out and checked for more polyps, in which there were none. After the exam and the prognosis from the doctor, I was given the yellow light for a 5 yr checkup afterwards since I had cancer before.
10 year checkups are for people that have been given a green light from the doctor, if the patient has no cancer history.
Little help from a "film handler"

Phil, EXCELLENT list....who would have guessed there was such variety, but, damn, it's true. And hey, if you want to be assured of those most coveted Teflon Poos EVERY time, just make sure you mix a rounded tablespoon of psyillium seed husks in a glass of juice once a day (Metamuscil is 98% psyllium with a little extra flavor added) and you will never suffer from the dreaded Gooey Hot Tar Poo. And don't be misled by the misconception that psyllium is a laxative. Far from it. It just keeps you naturally regular and as I said, gives you most excellent, comfortable, clean and efficient Teflon Poos. It basically is a broom for the colon.
My dad once told me that, when you are visiting, and you absolutely MUST use the bathroom for a dump (try not to if at all possible), you don't want to stink up your host's entire house (and believe me, my dad could fumigate a two story, four bedroom with finished basement so that no place was safe), it's just a common courtesy to everyone in the place to flush immediately after each log is delivered to the bowl. When you have delivered all that there is to deliver, for extra protection, light a few matches -- they will counteract the odiferous result of your deposits. I also found that grabbing a towel and spinning it around like a fan will dissipate and dilute the odor. You want to do this just on the off-chance that some poor soul is in need of using the facility immediately after you....like your girlfriend. Nothing will give a girl second thoughts faster about her suitor than the knowledge that you lay humungous stink bombs at family functions. Neglect the above precautions and you can bet you won't get laid THAT night.
Also, should you be unfortunate enough to unload a Gooey Hot Tar Poo, and what you've left in the bowl looks like Mack truck skid marks all over the once-emaculately clean porcelain, bite the bullet, be a man...wad up a goodly size pad of toilet paper and reach in there, grit your teeth and clean off the evidence. Now WASH your hands. And wash them again. Three time's the charm. And then PRAY the wad of paper will actually flush down and not back up the plumbing causing your award-winning size load to upchuck out the toilet bowl on the first floor where your girlfriend's mother happens at that moment fixing her makeup (yah, it happened to me).
And James R., about flushing before you're completely done. Believe it or not young man, there will come a time, although at your tender age you might not believe it, when that powerful, manly stream from your johnson of which you are so rightly proud, gets weaker and weaker and it begins to take longer and longer to empty the bladder. It gets embarrassing. Well, I am still not quite comfortable admitting that they have started sending me AARP solicitations (the bastards). You can imagine how VERY uncomfortable when I have to stand at that urinal while the younger occupants of the urinals next to me have changed two and three times, while I still stand, waiting, looking up at the ceiling, whistling. Definitely embarrassing. So now I've discovered this little trick....I'll flush even though I am not quite done, holding the flushometer handle so as to lengthen the flush cycle which gives me just a little more time. Yah, silly you say....but wait till YOU turn 50 and all of a sudden you realize, holy shit, that's not a 5, that's a goddamn 6! Pretty soon you're asking yourself, should I take a newspaper to the effing urinal so I can read something while I am waiting to finish taking a wizz?
Allison, what do you mean we men can talk about our bodily functions to no end? Wait till this thread gets a flame icon before you go prejudging us! As for your question.....you have to admit, men may be a tad less comfortable talking about women's stuff because it just doesn't happen to us, so it is "foreign" so to speak. Talking about poo is universal....it's not gender specific; everyone can relate. Personally, I turn white and have, on more than one occasion, gone faint at the sight of blood from a cut on someone's finger. It's not a matter of being uncomfortable talking about where it might be gushing from on a woman's body, it's just that it is BLOOD that makes me want to change the subject. Then again, I see your point -- some societies, especially the older, misogynistic cultures were locked into that barbaric idea that women were "unclean" during menstruation.
But then again, men were not immune to that sort of twisted insanity....remember, the men are the ones who also came to the conclusion that to be "clean" they had to chop the tips of their dicks off. That's like coming to the conclusion that the way to prevent a kid from getting plaque ("unclean") teeth is to pull them all out. HEY....DUMBASS. How many of you are either disturbed or disgusted about us womens' "monthly cycle".
It depends on the circumstance.
I'm going to be grossed out when encountering an unflushed toilet regardless of its contents, be it pee, a floating load of crap, or even a bowl of blood with a tampon in it. All are pretty awful.
Sex is another matter. I had one odd encounter years ago with a former girlfriend. We were having a little morning fun under the covers. When we finished we realized the wet spot on the covers was a little more wet than normal. I didn't freak out about it. At least I wasn't doing the oral thing on her when it happened!

A little soap and warm water will cure that problem.
Use a wash cloth and warm water before the festivities begin or, better yet, take a shower together.

This video might be good for this thread. It was shot a couple of months ago with my friends and I. I have a small cameo in it

I nominate that one for Best Sound Effects in an Internet Video. Pretty authentic stomach gurgling sounds!

My brother was using an outhouse style facility (ie: just a big pool of sewage below) and had a splash from that get him. He was camping and the campground did not have running water anywhere ... fun stuff.

Y'know, I never really actually answered the question in the subject line. Hehe.
The answer is yes. And sometimes I'm shocked. I have to wonder, "what the hell did I eat!?" Most of the time the poo looks normal, unless I eat some beets. A couple days ago I saw one that had the same color and texture appearance of a chicken fried steak. I'm eating nothing but vegetables for the next few days.
