Dennis Weaver passed away last Friday in Colorado from complications of cancer. He was 81.

Dennis Weaver was another great actor. He absolutely nailed the role of "David Mann" in Steven Spielberg's first feature film "Duel". Not to mention all his other memorable roles.

I had a celebrity siting of Dennis Weaver. It was in Blue Jay, California (a mountain resort town). I was in a hardware store getting a key made, and in came Dennis Weaver with several members of his family. He was dressed like McCloud. [Big Grin]

Earlier today I was talking with one of my coworkers about Darren McGavin's passing and recalling Night Stalker episodes. And then we talked a bit about other 70's TV shows we watched when we were just little kids. I mentioned McCloud as well as Dennis Weaver's work in Spielberg's first film Duel.

I didn't mention Peter Falk as Columbo (another one of those NBC Mystery Night shows). So maybe he might be safe.
