I used to like Tripoli (not sure of the spelling); played it with my grandparents a lot when I was a kid.

On the rare occasion when I'm in a casino I like to blow some cash on blackjack.

I guess I don't have a #3 unless you count Monopoly, there are a lot of cards in that game.

It seems that at all times in my life I have had some obsession with a card game. Currently it is Texas Hold Em'. Previous to that it was Euchre and Spades. My favorite game for wasting away an afternoon is Tonk.

Well, my favorites, which is technically two, are Black Jack and Skip-Bo. I don't know is Monopoly would be included, but, I like that game as well.

Even though Monopoly is considered a board game, it's one of my favorites too.

On playing Spades - when there are 5 people on a one deck deal (10 cards per each player and two cards are discarded..face down): The nil bets really do come out and others are trying to set those nil bidders.

Like I once did - bidding nil and having only one spade..the King. Others knew practically what I had and they were trying to set me. Then, the final card had to be played..but I had the 'ace in the hole' so to say with the player next to me on my right needed her bids or go set. She plopped out the ACE and immediately threw out the King.. the other 3 players were trying to set me hard...they got so mad at her that they left the room hollering and screaming that I could have been set.

that was a fun night, never to forget... = Monte

Favorite of all time would have to be Pinochle, it was the family game, at the end of her life my mom and I played it all the time and she was the only person I know of that could cheat playing 2 handed.

Now if we are talking about making or losing money....3 Card Poker is the favorite with 7 Card Stud a close second, and for friendly games with friends a little variation we call Challenge tough one to learn but easy to play and it can make you lots of money if the people and cards are right.

Remember to tell you Mother's how much they mean to you today..it is their day. To all the rest just have a wonderful day.

Kat, the one who doesn't post often but is still here... [Smile]

Scat / 31 / Ride the Bus / Blitz, whatever you want to call it. I usually just call it Scat. [Smile]

Me and the fam always used to play poker, of numerous kinds... baseball, diamond, cross, jacks or better - trips to win...blah blah.

Also like Crazy 8's.

Strip Monopoly....if you lose, you strip....if you win, you strip [Razz]
My late uncle Milt and I played Canasta during one summer in New York...he was 50, I was 12....whenever he won, he acted like 12 [Cool]

Remember! If you play by the "official" rules of Strip Poker, NOBODY LEAVES THE TABLE UNLESS THEY ARE NAKED! [evil]

Richard, when I play Strip Monopoly, my favorite part is negotiating with the guys that land on my properties for the method of paying the rent. I take NOTHING at face value! [Wink] [evil]

Oddly enough I spent the most time playing my favorite card game at the film society where I was a projectionist. Any night I wasn't "The Man" I'd be there playing with the other staff people in the lobby. Heck, some nights when I WAS projecting I'd sneak out of the booth for a hand or two between shows.

Bridge. There is no other card game.
