Billy Preston, the singer-songwriter famous for his collaborations with Ray Charles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and the Beatles, among others, died Tuesday from complications due to chronic kidney failure. He was 59. He was a great musician.

Heard a great version yesterday of a song (ended up a Stones song later) with Billy at 15 years of age playing alongside Ray Charles with Sam Cooke out front.

Just excellent...now, if only I could remember the name of that darn song.
