Trying to keep things organized... Post pictures of you and your significant other/lover/closest friend (whatever you want to call them) here for the world to see. Lets try to keep things a little more organized.

Oh come on, who am I kidding... I just want to show off my hottie Matt! [Big Grin] [Razz] [Big Grin]

Yeah, this is in the Vacation thread as well... but its my fav.

Hey! Madamn Moderator... do you REALLY think anyone besides Rick Hamilton, The Jen, Mark, Chris, and/or Tony or a few "others" would publicly post pics of their BF/GF/Better-halves/etc let alone sex-slave wannabee's??? How lame!

If so, I'll fly to Fish Town and kiss you on the lips! (NO tongue though... I don't want your BF to kick my ass!)

Oh, and I'll also post a pic of my long-time companion, and one of my hhot future ex-BF! HA!!!!

Hey now... good, then let Rick, Jen, Mark, Chris, and/or Tony and others post their pics here! At least all the pics will stay in the same place.

Well, after a tremendously long period of grieving after Rachel decided to move on to something better and dumped my ass, and after going through a few others that didn't really stack up, I finally met Linda. I am pretty well smitten even though she is still in the "really good friends" stage, but hopefully things will only get better as we go along. The other cool thing is that she is the only person I have ever dated in my 42 years of life that I can actually pick up and carry into the bedroom!!!!! [sex]

Here is a pic for you all to leer at. Sorry for the shameless plug of my favorite dating site....

Ya know The Jen... ya gotta post! With THOSE lips in your ID pic, I can't get you outta my mind! Hubba Hubba! [Wink]

BTW Don, don't regress or regret! Over many years of just saying "hello" to some hottie at a gay bar (I didn't even lick his thigh), I got drinks thown in my face. I was disappointed since they were NOT a R&C! Butt!!! I still plugged on...so to speak [Smile]

Charles,

I took that as Rachel calling someone else a bitch. As in...

"You calling me fat? .........Bitch?"

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I read it.

Well... at least I got a compliment out of my bad grammar! Haha.

Nah, that comment was just me joking with Don. We dating for about a year and a half and we're still good friends. He's still somehow a pain in my ass from half way across the country! [Smile]

Naah, we're not going to get into a fight - she knows I wasn't insulting her - I was just complimenting the new one!

Phil - I don't know waht to say, but, plugging on is the way to go I guess - no sense just sitting there feeling sorry for yourself, go out there and push yourself into the crowd - maybe the person of your dreams is hiding in there!

Ok, I give in... This is Lynn, my best friend in the world. We go camping and do lots of stuff together. She sometimes comes to visit me on site for a few days at a time when I'm working around Wyoming. She is cooking breakfast at a camp site one very cold August morning... it was all I could do to get the fire going that morning as it rained so much during the night that everything was soaked, the storm even put out a forest fire nearby. No better food that that cooked by campfire!

What's difficult about this thread is, I think, some of our "Better-Half" partners do not want their faces publicly spread all over the Inet. It's a "personal privacy" issue and in some cases a, "I'm gay and in the closet" issue.

With the above in mind, it's very difficult to get "permission" to post a public pic of one's wife / husband / bf / gf / lover / etc...

I applaud those that had the "balls" to post their pics, and as such...so will I. My LTC of the last 12 years...my better half, Tony:

Hey dawg, I'm just keepin it real. Fo shizzle!

I've never been one for a real relationship, I have things on the side, but I keep them just that, on the side and don't try to mix friends or let anyone see them. Of course this makes it look like I am lying, but who cares. I'm certainly not going to get a girlfriend just so everyone will know I am not lying about it.

Sure about that? Look at the image upside-down. Dosn't look like the same two people reflected in the glass tabletop. Whoever's on the left has different sideburns, whoever's on the right has a mole on their neck that dosn't appear on the original. Plus, the position of the collars are different .

Yes, Joe it was my senior picture. But it isn't terribly old as I am 24. And one of the few pictures of myself I actually like.

It is amazing what people can do with photoshop. I have to work for hours just to change anything more than image size and brightness/contrast.

Bearing in mind how Barbara Stanwyck's significant other in Double Indemnity wound up (both of them!), I think I'd stay clear! [Eek!] If I should ever get married, hopefully it won't be to someone who has aspirations to being a film noir leading lady...

When I visited California last summer a friend showed me Glendale station, where Stanwyck puts the hobbling Fred McMurray on the train. The whole station area looks like it's been rebuilt since and I couldn't recognise any of the local area as it appears in the film.

Rachel: No, she's not in 'the industry' although she's totally accepting of my miles of 35mm features I have around the house and even knows how to thread up the trusty DeVry! Joe: you're very perceptive. She's 24 and I'm 31. (yes I was a cradle robber) Phil, I showed her this thread and she sends greetings right back. She says you're welcome here anytime you (or you and your better half) are in the bay area.

Tim, you may not believe this, but that image was taken with just ONE LIGHT. It's pretty much an unfocused spot from behind us, bouncing into a LiteDisc reflector. Looks much more involved than it was. [Big Grin]

And Leo, not to worry, my husband will tell you, in spite of how I look in the picture, I'm not so much the film noir type as much as the screwball comedy type. [Wink]

The house that Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck) lived in the film "Double Indemnity" is on my street about 6 houses down from me.

It's about 50 years older than mine. But has been well taken care of and looks pretty much as portrayed in that film. [Wink]

What a great film! ANOTHER of my all-times favorites!

I'll second that... when I was there a few years ago, even the bag screening girls at the airport were stunning. Rarely saw any fat chicks there either (or guys for that matter) that weren't tourists. Very interesting.

Europe is like Disneyworld. To the visitor, everything looks so perfect, but underneith the carefully trimmed bushes, and colorful concrete, is a nasty corrador where the lead the fat people, and others who don't fit the acceptable public image, to the gas chambers, to be quetly executed, and their bodies disposed of in secret.

Seriously, I think the main reason why there are few overweight Europeans is the fact that most of the people still actually GET UP OFF THEIR ASS AND DO SOMETHING.

Look at the numbers who don't use private transportation. That means less drive-thru windows, less super-sized whatevers, less calories and more shape. Add into that a respectable consumption of anti-oxidants (wine and fruits, for example), and in some rural areas traditional work ethics, and that is why most Americans are fat slobs. Many Europeans I know are exercise freaks who go to bed early and prefer a nice sit-down meal rather than couch potatos swayed by a Taco Bell ad at 2:30 in the morning. Granted, however, I'm sure there are exceptions. There always is.

Phil, si è rifiutato. You've tried but...
Here in Europe specialy Italy the traditions are too important. Doesn't exist a market opened at 2am or a restaurant where you can eat 10 puonds of beef steak for a reasonable price. Croisant and a cup of cofee for breakfast is a lght meal. I still prefer eggs and bacon with sicilian orange juice.

But Donna, you are still so young! Isn't it a little too early to get married?
On the other hand, you will have a head start with getting divorced then, so maybe that does make sense.
And have you really thought through marrying somebody who is into cross dressing? What do your parents think?

No, the real reason is that as of January 1, 2000, it is illegal to be overweight in the EU. That is why I had to leave - I am overweight, too. They told me "get your fat ass out of here and go to America where all the other fat asses already are".

Alternatively, I could also have gone to Kirgizistan - they over political asylum for overweight people. But that idea did not seem appealing to me - although a place where everything you get to eat or drink (or wear) is made from goat might be a good place for a diet.

Ah yes, Statistical Personal Equivalent Weight (SPEW) directive, 2002. I understand that following intense lobbying from the manufacturers of Mars bars and cooking oil, the Scottish Parliament has still not implemented it.

In fact, here are Jasmine, Evelyn, and Corinne. They do like their necks stroked, sometimes with a good finger-picking. Behind them is Ellie. I've learned how to push her buttons. The rest couldn't make it to this picture.

John: did you all dress up in colour co-ordinated red tops so that no-one will notice when the Kodak film fades to pink?

Sorry, couldn't resist...

I doubt you have seen much fading on Kodak color print film since the dye technology improvements made in the late 1970's and early 1980's. I participated in that improvement program, led by the late great John Baptista, who later went on to work for Technicolor, MGM, and CFI laboratories.

Thanks! We can't believe how fast time flies by when you have a kid. Six months ago he could barely turn over on his own and was completely dependent on us. Now he is crawling and jabbering away and it's all I can do to keep up with him. Two or three more and he will most likely be walking already. It's amazing how fast they develop. [Eek!]

Hi Mike!

It's an iPhone, but there's no reason why someone couldn't design a cool app for it to do that! It seems to do most everything else.

I look a tad uncomfortable in that shot probably due to my paranoia of sparkly things that randomly throw off burning cinders. She seems completely relaxed, so I have to take some chill-out lessons from her book I think. [Smile]

Thx Phil! You doing great?

Yo, Mike: guess I'm like the postman on his day off: who want's to go for a walk?

Reason I said that is that the local 8 screen cinema in that town could't put on a decent presentation worth poop. Last time we were there-being a few years back, (they use opaque splices for starters) they had sloppy splices that would jump every time it would go into the gate (STRONG units), dirty prints that had black snow towards the end of the reels, slightly out of focus presentations, and one movie we went to, had two out-of-frame reel splices..on a SCOPE picture..in which I came out into the lobby and complained to the mgr about the framing issue.

He knew what I was talking about and got super offended that I knew about projection more than he did. He fixed the framing but glared at me when we were leaving.

I decided that I'll never attend that 8plex again-didn't need that kind of wrath.

Thanks, everyone! [Smile]

Sorry for the belated response; I've taken a week's vacation in beautiful, tropical, far-north queensland and have decided to forego the resort's generously priced $0.55/minute internet fees. [fu]

However, I've now found this uber-cool cafe (called 'Rehab', no kidding!) that offers an unlimited plan for $15 for the entire week. That's more like it. [thumbsup]

Jen, if you and Joe ever find yourselves in my neck of the woods (or vice versa) we should all go out on a double date. Maybe we should see a movie? [Big Grin]

I will replace my profile photo soon - good idea!

John: Thanks! (I think?)

Cameron: I'm working on it, I'm working on it... [Smile]

Update for me...

I moved down to FL from MA almost 3 months ago now, working at Mickey D's and STILL looking for another theater job. I got hired at one of the local theaters with plans to start last August, but unfortunately had problems with the move and had to postpone it until the end of the year, so now the position isn't open anymore. *cry*

Anywho.. here are a couple pictures of me and Chris. =) Yup, different guy then from the beginning of this thread... *whistles to self* ... off to post pictures of our new puppy! [uhoh]
