When in Dallas, I am considering visiting one of the following restaurants: Sonny Bryans (on Inwood) or Lucky's Cafe (on Oaklawn). I have heard good reports on the food at each...I just wondered which way to go? [Confused]

I do believe the Inwood is Brad's favorite theater in the world. He is always trying to get me to go watch movies there with him, but I always refuse.

Never heard of either of the eateries, but Kuby's is over in that area if you want some good food from the fatherland.

I havent been there in probably nine years, but it is European food, mostly German. They also have a little import shop where you can buy all the usual things including German periodicals. Do a google search for 'Kuby's Dallas' and it will give you plenty of reviews. Hank's deli also has an import shop. Their food is kind of overpriced, but it is worth it for their hot potato salad.

Oh, cool. I replaced a Ballantyne bobbin there once upon a time...

Incidentally, Dickey's BBQ is THE place for me whenever I am in the Big D. I about died when I found a Dickey's franchise restaurant on the New Jersey Turnpike (Lombardi service area)!

Same here,Tim! YUM! Especially the BBQ beef brisket. While they have great beef and pork ribs, THEEEE best is their BBQ shreaded pork roast. It's Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! [thumbsup]

Not too crazy about their side dish of BBQ sauce though... I usually tell the Drive-Thru person that Dickie is OK, and to thank him, but I'll pass on it. [Wink]

Great, I saw a Dickey's BBQ off one of the interstates thru town...will check it out! Also, it appears this Sonny Bryans is an area BBQ chain for the metroplex.

Tim, that was sarcasm from Chris regarding the Inwood. I've serviced them a couple of times and seen half a dozen shows there. I have never been impressed.

I must admit to being underwhelmed with the booths.

It looks like it may have been great once upon a time, before they split it up.
