We frequently put posters for our coming events on our glass doors. I'd like to find tape that will peel off fairly easily. I've tried Scotch Magic Mending, plain old cellophane, splicing tape, it all is very difficult to get off intact, especially the scotch...any suggestion? The sun hits the doors for about 2 hrs. a day and makes some tapes that otherwise come off ok difficult to remove.

I use regular Scotch tape, the kind with the red plaid on the box. I don't like "Magic" tape because it's cloudy...the red plaid stuff is clear on glass. (And I use Scotch BRAND, not some evil Wal-Mart special knock off.)

What I do is tape the top of the poster with two or three strips, then for the bottom corners, I use two strips but I "fold over" the end of the strips to make a pull tab at the bottom of each strip. Then when it's time to remove the poster, just pull the tabs at the bottom and use the poster itself to pull the top tape off. Works like a charm and you don't rip the poster, either.

Our windows get direct sun from early morning until about noon, and we have temps ranging from -40 to +110, so this technique should work in all kinds of weather.

WD-40 will get the tape off. FilmGuard will do in a pinch.

...lol...even lighter fluid is great stuff for this as well.. -to remove any adhesive substance from glass...

Thought of being a bit more professional in your glass mounted displays by having a poster case device that has double stick tape around the parameter of the case so that a more permanent frame can be mounted on the door with an open back to easily insert and display window cards without looking tacky with being mounted with tape?

Or, just have a poster frame mounted on a pole and base, so that this can be easily moved to the door for display while closed..
