Just read that Frankie Laine died... I'll rmemeber him best for singing the theme to Blazing Saddles. [Big Grin]

Definitely "Blazing Saddles." "Rawhide" was another good theme.

And although Tex Ritter sang it in the movie, Laine did a terrific version of the song from "High Noon." No wonder Mel Brooks wanted him to sing BZ.

I'll also remember him for a beautiful song, "I Believe," as well as "Jezebel."

I'm really not old enough to remember so much of his music, except for the fact that I know someone who has 16mm prints of his old tv show.

At one time Frankie Laine was married to Nan Grey. She was the daughter of Eddie Miller BA of Houston projectionist local #279.
