Gordon Scott noted for his Tarzan films died at age 80 from heart surgery complications. Scott's portrayal of the ape man was unique when he spoke in a intelligent manner unlike his predecessors. His last two Tarzan film were critically acclaimed and one of them, TARZAN'S GREATEST ADVENTURE" featured Anthony Quayle and a very young Sean Connery before he became famous playing James Bond. After he had starred in five Tarzan films, he went to Italy and made a lot of forgettable sword and sandal films. Beside Johnny Weissmuller, Gordon Scott's Tarzan films were my favorites when I was a young man.
