I do not know if this is a proper place to post this but if it belongs on the Equipment for Sale page, please move this over there, moderator.

I have an old Nikon 105mm f2.8 AF macro lens that uses 52mm filters and I just lost the lens shade for it. The store I buy my equipment said it is rather difficult to replace other than going to ebay and trying my luck there. If anyone here know a source where I can get a exact replacement, please contact me by email. Thanks!

Have a look on eBay, There are a lot of generic branded ones for most Canon lenses. Not too sure about the Nikon ones though.

I think Ebay is probably your best bet for a genuine Nikon one; I've found some pretty obscure bits there, including the very strange lens hood for the Nikon 45mm GN lens, brand new in box. Also managed to collect over just a few months a complete set of focusing screens for the 'F', including all of the more unusual ones.

Have you tried KEH camera and/or B&H Photo? Perhaps one of those has a damaged lens with a good lens shade?

No, Scott, I have not tried B&H where I have bought some of my other Nikon lenses. I will call them as well as check ebay once I realize no one here can personally help me.

If it was a "snap-on" style hood with the button, it was Nikon model number HS-14 (or so it says here, click the tech specs tab). A google search with the terms "Nikon HS-14" shows several new and used options for over-the-net purchase.

KEH is a great place for good used quipment. I got a supposedly used (or demo) lens for my Pentax 67 that is immaculate. If you don't see anything on fleabay now, it's worth a few minutes to check KEH.

Thank you, Mark for the link. I knew someone here could help me and I was right. Others love ebay but I find using them is rather confusing when you have to bid for an item most of the time. I found what I want when I clicked on the link and will be ordering my replacement shade tomorrow. Thank you all for responding to my post.
