Here are my two. 
Miko on the top and Tasha on the bottom. Both found at the Humane Society. Miko has a thing for rubber duckies, and Tasha can pack away a 5 pound box of Milk Bones in less than a day...talk about metabolism! They hang out with me on service trips to Idaho and keep watch on the booth while I'm working. Dave W., Miko guard's the R-2 for me while I'm busy with other work so be careful! She has a tendency to take after Gord's cat, Nipper. For some reason they also both have an instinct that allows them to herd the correct print to the correect screen without even first tearing up the schedule. Both love to go with snowshoeing and sometimes disappear into deep snow as Tasha shows in the photo!

Mike--Yes, I did. But I stole her from the future when she is frail and 16 years old, not when she is fat and heathly like she is now. I then commissioned a sex-change operation on the cat so it would be a "he" and renamed it Jynx. Then I took the picture. I then commissioned another sex change to make it a female again, renamed it "Mittens" and sent it back to the future!
My other cat is faster than any high speed shutter on any camera.

Well Steve I've had a few dogs, but all they did was eat and sleep. Sometimes they barked and they also shat. Then they'd wag their tails when they were happy to see me. This strange behavior frightened me so I had them put to sleep

I can attest to the fact that Gord's cat Nipper does weigh in at 23 lbs. When I stayed at Gord's house for a week, on his couch, she would jump up on me in the morning to wake me up. Frankly, its the equivelent of having a bowling ball landing on you while you're in a deep sleep!!

When I come to a topic and see that it has increased in page numbers I usually just click on the newest page, figuring that I've already seen all of the posts in the previous page. Well I'm currently working on sending pics of my dogs and of meself to Brad but in case you guys need a hint I have three of these highly loyal types used as carriage dogs in earlier times to escort fire wagons and used to protect the horses that pulled the fire carts. These super agile long distance K9's are quite ferrocious as mine have fought (unintentionally) pit bulls and won! These territorial dogs are attention happy and extremely affectionate at the same time and in our Cinema experience we have seen three Disney sponsored flicks the first being in cartoon format many years ago and the second two being filmed using real life animals. Origins of these animals go back to 1200th century yogoslavia <if I give tell the city Id give the dog type away> however there is literature supporting that even Egyptian hyroglyphics depict these K-9s as loyal guards for even the most royal of members of those times.......First one to guess, <although i think its an easy one> gets free "Film-Guard" courtesy of Brad just kidding!!!!

HEEE HEEE well there is no prize of course but as far as to answer your question regarding getting anothe Dal pup:It is tough to say......whilst my Dals get along It has taken some effort to achieve this. My unnuetered male is quite the territorial and aggresive beast as he has earned his position while defending his two female companions one his <self-appointed wife and the other female being his blood daughter> He definatley doesnt like other dogs and just recently tried to nip an Bloodhound pup in the nose throught the chain linke fence in which i keep him in. I definately believe that dogs are like people and vary in their temperament and personalities. As a general rule Dalmations are highly territorial and possesive and demonstrate jealousy just like a human would which could provoke any type of behaviour even with another dog of its same type. I wish you good luck and only dicipline and distance will give you appropriate response you are looking for. I would suggest you obtain a Dal pup on a contigency basis per the dogs getting along in order to prevent you from having to give up your pup because of you adults behaviour towards it! In my case the three Dals I own have been together since day on and as far as the pup was concerned both my Dals have that kin instinct and thus tolerate each other. I have however experienced a power struggle amongst the two females and they both had to "scrap" to establish hierarchy and thus the Mom is still number "2" dog. It was a shortlived little struggle but in seconds once can tell the capacity of aggresiveness and power they are capable and I imagine what other "street" dogs must have experienced while Dals were escorting firecarts in them olden days.....yikes!!! Lastly, if you can obtain a pup to add to you Dal collection it would be a worthwhile effort as two dalmations are definately better than one! They will entertain each other quite well and will never require any extra form of excercise and they will "tire" each other out every day. Its worth the try!!!!!!!! Good luck!!!

I finally managed to get a picture of that mysterious cat of mine that Brad mentioned. His name is Murphy and it is really hard to get a picture of him. If you are happening to carry any kind of peripheral with you he takes off faster than audiences fleeing from "Glitter". I will say this, though... Murphy is the SMARTEST cat I have ever seen. If he wants to escape from you he'll run right at you instead of away from you, knowing it will take you longer to turn around and start chasing him and he'll get further away. He also knows how to open closed doors (!!!!) but only the kind that are low enough for him to reach. 
Relish this picture. It is only one of maybe 3 pictures ever taken where he wasn't just a blur. Nice to see that he is shedding on my good shirt here!

As soon as we get the internet hooked back up at work I'll e-mail U the pricing. We are still waiting for Sprint to show up. At the new building we actually have an I.T. room with lots of phone lines, three mainframes, firewalls and a bunch of other stuff that I have no clue about but our computer guy said ya gotta have, might be that the printers are now all networked er somethin. I hope the Sprint Man knows where to hook the darn thingy into the system, I could only guess. This is supposed to happen next week, was supposed to happen last week and the week before. Thank You Sprint for our fast hookup service. Its lots of fun to move!

We had a cat (recently deceased) who knew how to open bi-fold closet doors. He loved to open them often for no discernable reason. I think that showed a good level of intelligence to know that reaching under and pulling near the middle of two panels will create an opening at a completely different place. On the other hand he never mastered pulling open a door that was open just a crack which is child's play to many cats.

Hi, Kara!Thought I'd let you see one of our Shar-Pei, Dilys. This photo was taken about a year ago, so she has grown into alot of her wrinkles. Unfortunately she has skin problems and scratches alot - she has just started a course of steroids (the last resort). We'll see how this goes.
Our other Shar-Pei, Rue is a slightly older fawn. I don't have any pictures of her yet though.

Somehow this thread is giving me flashbacks to when I was a kid seeing those Cal Worthington car commercials from the California TV stations on cable.Those who remember recall the quote, "here's Cal Worthington and his dog spot!" And half the time it would be a different animal, like a monkey, elephant or giraffe.

Here's my contribution. We currently have two Pekingese's.
Kia is our two year old
While Bella is our 10 week old. Bella doesn't look like an ordinary Peke to me and she has an appt with the vet Wed, so we'll see what they have to say about her. Her legs are really long and her paws are huge for a 10 wk old puppy... Anyway, here she is...

Ok Folks, I want you all to know that I love dog's and I wish I could still have my pal, Gizmo. However it has been three years since I had to chose between my pal Gizmo and my "Wife". Guess What?
My wife won. Thank God. But I miss my "Dog" He was and is the best. We visit once in awhile. IN 1996, my son Ed, left for Boston University. In his junior year he told us that he loved Boston and was going to make his life and live in Boston. Well, The other two kids, Rob my son and Kara my daughter were married and had their own lives , so my wife said "Why don't we sell this house and move into the city?" So.oooooooooo, what were we going to do with my "D-O-G" That's right GIZMO. Yes, it's true I love that DOG. Cutest Laso Apso you ever saw. Smart, Intelligent, could have been a member of www.film-tech.com except he knew they would not let him give the keynote address at Showest because he would have ranked on Mr. Redifer. So he and I deceided that it would be best if I found him a home in the old neighborhood. We accomplished this and move into the "Big Apple". Three and a half years now and I still miss my "DOG". I love my wife and I love my family but I miss my DOG and I know that he know's that I love him.
P.S. He lives with friend's in the old Bronx Neighborhood, and the Grand Children and I visit quite often.
