Does anyone have part #,s for the brush holders on the Grainger motor # 2m262. This is the 2 stage vacume motor that is used as a refit for the A 3 platters

What part do you mean? The replacement brushes (Grainger 1R236) are the complete unit, you just pry out the wire connector and push it into the new assembly. What I'd call the holder in this case is the metal U-shaped clamp holding the assembly down to the motor frame - I don't think that is available separately but one could be made from a bit of sheet metal pretty easily.

If the armature is badly worn you will also need to replace that as well. Any scoring on the copper commutator is bad and will wear out a new set of brushes in short order. The armature is also available from Grainger as well but new motors and armatures do not have the high torque that the old motors have and they will not time as fast. So you will need a larger sleeve to go on the end of the shaft that contacts the idler pulley. The sleeves (three sizes) are available from Wrong International in Omaha. Usually the middle size sleeve works well. Even if you replace the whole motor you will still need the sleeve. If you replace the armature also install new ball bearings. The whole list of parts shouldn't cost more than 50 bucks give or take.
