I have a friend who has a Freightliner Sprinter who has stopped driving it and started driving the Sprinters predecessor, a full size Ford van with gas V6. The van has less space but enough and gets the same fuel mileage as the diesel. The savings come with the $.45 lower cost per gallon of gas, not an insignificant savings with the distance he drives doing service work every year, about 35,000 miles.
