Here's a list of the 100 Worst Movies Ever, as compiled by the Orlando Sentinel. I don't know who compiled the list, but you have to give them props for mostly featuring movies that are REALLY bad as opposed to movies that the critic just thinks are bad.

I've only seen seven of them, and while it's obviously not cinematically a good movie, Snakes on a Plane was a fair success, and a good tongue-in-cheek B movie.

A lot of people do not like GODFATHER 3 but I enjoyed it very much. It is no way as as good as the first two but it is a very entertaining film and I watched it several times already. I cannot understand why some people would publish a list of movies and call them the worst films ever nade. I agree most of the films are stinkers but there are a couple in addition to GODFATHER 3 that I had enjoyed and do not feel they belong on the list. I agree with Robert about SNAKES ON A PLANE. I enjoyed that movie so much after seeing it in a theatre, I bought the DVD

All For Zorro, Stand Up And Say So

George Hamilton in duel roles, including a peach clad Zorro costume. That movie is fantastic.

I can't belive Manos: The Hands of Fate isn't on there. Or Lust in the Dust.

Good lord, I have seen 42 of those movies at some point in my life.

I actually love Howard the Duck, and like Krull, Waterworld, and Zorro the Gay Blade.

Oh well, to each his own, I guess.

Most of those are definitely bad enough that, as Michael O'Donahue would've said, they'd have to be re-shot just so they could be thrown away. But there are a few in there where it's obvious somebody just doesn't appreciate trash cinema.

Indeed, how could anyone not like Barbarella (unless they don't like Jane Fonda)?

Beastmaster - Ran it in both 2D and 3D and enjoyed it both ways.

Reefer Madness - Classic cheesy propaganda.

Joe's Apartment - All singing, all dancing cockroaches. What's not to like?

Swamp Thing - Heh heh, never ran the whole thing, but did run its promo reel at Caesars Palace for the '82 Showest. And if Swamp Thing made the list, where's Humungus? (Another promo reel at the '82 Showest).

Plan 9 - The very definition of "so bad it's good."

I think though after you've shown Xanadu for the 100th time on 20min reels and carbon arcs you just become numb to the hate and begin to accept. Sort of like a hostage-seige situation.

I LOVED Xanadu growing up. I still love it. I love Barbarella as well. Thank you to Duran Duran for introducing me to it.

I screened just over a dozen features on that list, most of which I was only too happy to know I'd been paid to watch. Thankfully, when a nice chunk of those from the last eight years came out, I was high enough on the ladder to pull rank and get out of having to see them. Though I consider it a misfire that I screened Alexander instead of Christmas with the Kranks.

(I loved XANADU as well. Cheezy story but the magic and soundtrack that sold it for me..)... try me with 6 months of the original "StarWars", in 1977 in a carbon arc house pulling mega shifts that summer being "Chief Projectionist"of this theatre.

I got so good with the film is that I knew exactly where both set of cues were without looking. all I had to do was HEAR the damned film to know when the cues were.

Flip, I had the whole dialog memorzied as well. since we had no port glass and could hear the film plain as day in the booth without having the monitor on.

they should place "Superhero" on this horrible list .. yeech!!

The problem I see with this sort of list, including the "Best of" are that they claim "ever" when what they mean is "recent" There have been gems and dog movies since movies have been in existence.

However, even in the decades that this person seems to be judging, it isn't very comprehensive. Where is _Going Ape_ ? And sorry Popeye, is one of my all time favs.

I'm a huge fan of movies other people consider bad, maybe its the underdog syndrome, or maybe I just feel they just have something to prove, but I like a lot of the movies on these lists. Theres something about movies other people don't know or care about, I find obscure cinema strangely irresistible. I've gotten many hours of great value from those dollar DVDs.

The generic additions like "Plan 9" and "Yucca Flats" are a bit taxing, I'm never sure whether they genuinely dislike them or they are just trying to namedrop.

I personally liked Xanadu. Sure, its a bit garish by todays standards, but it had heart, and the message behind it was nice.

I liked "Xanadu" as well. As for "Barbarella," I've never seen it but was surprised it was on the list. Maybe a political opinion being expressed there.

There are probably thousands of "flop" movies that are bad enough to be on a list like this, but I'm sure the writer wants to stick mostly to movies people have heard of. (I would have added the Donnie and Marie Osmond gem "Goin' Coconuts" to the list but who's ever heard of that one?)

The Sentinel did a list of the 100 worst album covers of all time a few weeks ago but it wasn't nearly as entertaining to look at because 99% of the artists they featured were complete unknowns.

I guess it would depend on who does the list! I think the Sentinel is owned by the Chicago Tribune. We've gone to Florida quite a few times (on my wife's business, mostly) and since I love to read, I always pick up the local major newspaper in every airport we go through. I always read the Sentinel every day we're there. Of the aforementioned Tribune, the Salt Lake City paper, The Minneapolis Star/Tribune and the Denver Post, the Sentinel is my favorite read. I like the L.A. Times better when I get a chance to see it, which isn't often.

I never saw it in the theater but as weird as that movie is, with Sean Connery no less I am always amazed that someone actually made it when I pop it into the dvd player. As a serious movie though, yeah your probably right.

I also loved Xanadu..I've been a huge fan of ELO and Olivia for many years,,,but I must say that the lead actor was HORRIBLE and couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag. Very flat and one-dimensional. Kinda like another actor, who I love his hot body, but he still can't act: Hayden Christiansen (Anakin Skywalker in Ep. 2 and 3)

As for Xanadu, one of my big questions is: how did they convince Gene Kelly to be in it?

But it did have some unique dialog ("Tuesday's Wednesday") and some cool dance/skate sequences.

My post was a tongue-in-cheek metaphor of the worthlessness of ALL of those types of lists since they are biased to (and by) the listers and based on THEIR (and usually un-scientific)polls and preferences.

Hi, Todd; I thought Zardoz was so bad; maybe I was too used to seeing him in decently budgeted films like 'Bond' and this was too much for me! It is the only film that, even though I got in for free, I still walked out of!

I know it's not on the list (should be) but 'Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory' holds special memories for me! Thirty odd screenings (20 minute changeovers) to screaming schoolchildren in the mid seventies! I still feel sick when I hear any music from the film!

And how about "Jumper"? As of this posting I hadn't looked at the reviews thread....comments anyone?

Hayden was also in the film "Life As A House" with Keven Kline. A n excellent movie, but Hayden's performance was ..um, interesting. Check out the scene when he's in the shower with the neighbor's daughter..even my straight friends said that Hayden's got to be gay, since he wasn't really looking at the (very hot) girl he was "naked" with.

Jumper was ish- I walked out of it halfway, but it was one of those movies most people appraise higher than I would.

It wasn't R, so Samuel L. Jackson wasn't going to be dropping enough lyrical, silky F-bombs to make the stay worthwhile.

Here's a steaming pile that I would slap onto that list: Darkness, with Anna Paquin. To this day, I still think that the shiteous audio only improved that horrible crapfest.

Turner had "The Oscar" (1966) on last night. It should be on the list. Several good actors forced to recite bad lines. However, the lead, Stephen Boyd, overacted so badly he makes William Shatner look good. Written by Harlan Ellison - go figure!

Add me as one of the ones who enjoyed Zorro The Gay Blade. There were a couple of goofy off the wall movies I enjoyed as a kid, and for some stupid reason, this was one of them. It still entertains me when I watch it. A couple of others that as a kid I thought were great were Saturday The 14th (I just dug out the VHS of that a few months ago, and still enjoyed sitting all the way through it), and Super Fuzz. But anyway, I'm looking over this list. It looks like I have shown about 12 of these, and seen about 29 of them. The ones that stand out to me are:

Robot Monster (Saw it in dual strip 3D TWICE - AWESOME fun in a full theater!)
Zorro the Gay Blade (Saw it, loved it, but I think I'm in the minority)
Last Action Hero (Showed it, saw it, loved it)
Flash Gordon (the 1980s one) (Saw it, it was ok)
Cheaper By The Dozen 2 (Saw it, it was ok)
Plan 9 from Outer Space (Saw it, liked it)
Cat Women of the Moon (Saw it in dual strip 3D - Great Fun in a sold out theater! Great lines in this movie. Example: "You're too smart for me, baby. I like 'em stupid.")
Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo (Saw it, actually liked it for some reason. Can't remember why, and don't think I would like it today if I saw it again.)
Ernest Goes to Camp (Saw it, and really liked it)
Popeye (I liked this movie a lot!)
Krull (Saw it, expected to like it, don't remember it. Loved the Atari 2600 game though!)
