Would someone be able to buy me two copies of the July issue of American Cinematographer (it features Batman on the cover?) I can't find it where I live. I called the publisher, and they don't sell it directly and refered me to Borders book stores. But the two stores near me don't carry it. If you could, please email me (link on my profile) and let me know how much you would need.

My wife is featured in one of the articles. (I keep thinking of that 'Rolling Stone' song!)

John; any Borders will order you whatever you want. Louis

John Hawkinson is sending me two copies... he also suggested a news stand / store that's only about a mile away that I didn't even know was there..

Hi, Louis; The Borders near me said they couldn't order it... I think they are doing poorly and have cut out 'extra'services.'

So, John... what's the story featuring your wife?

I've got two copies for John, mailing shortly.

The magazine business is weird. Generally speaking, you can't "order" at the individual level, a newsstand could today order some issues of American Cinematographer for August, but it's probably too late to order for July (once it is already on the stands).

Why, Tim, I thought you'd never ask! [Wink] She is the one of the two leads in a short film, shot in San Francisco. For a festival-circuit film, it is a little unusual in that it was shot in Super 35, and then was hard-masked to a non-standard ratio.

She was in the moviefone.com rolling stock ad that was a take-off of 'The Shining'

Hey, John... I thought I remembered her playing in something not too long ago!

Way cool! [thumbsup] [Smile] [Cool]

Is she SAG?

Yep, SAG and also AFTRA, for about 15 years now. She just voted on the AFTRA merging with SAG issue, which is a hot topic with them recently. She's done many, many national commericals. One that was very well known (in the TV commerical world, anyway) was for Cascade dishwasher soap. She finishes frosting an entire cake on a dish, then drops it all into the dishwasher. After the wash, the entire cake is gone and the dish is clean.

Oooh, I've seen that one! Remember it well. Commercials are good work. Very cool.

So, do you guys keep dubs of all these spots for her reel?
