How old is the saw? When I worked at Menards those clamps were junk for a couple years, but I thought they improved that long ago. I don't remember there being a good way to fix it. We had a lot of returns.

I've seen similar clamps on other brands that could not hold the blade in tough cutting.

It has been a few years. I haven't used it much until the job i am on now. I have been cutting some murphy channel out of the grid in a theater to install a new fire. Along with alot of other steel where we have removed the old rigging and its in the way to install the new. I'll e-mail dewalt.
