We have all gone back and forth about Larry's theatres and some of there decisions. All that aside its sad to see a man pass away at only the age of 64. I never realized that his diabetes was that bad.

RIP Larry, you will be missed by many in the Theatre Industry

Larry was a true pioneer in D-Cinema being one of the Beta Test Sites for Dolby (still is) and he built some really nice theaters as well. Larry was also a big time philanthropist and some 300 kids have received scholarships thanks to Larry. Countless schools received money from him to build things they otherwise might not have. RIP Larry.

I remember when he opened up his first car dealership in SLC - Larry Miller Toyota in South Murray in 1979. It was a small dealership, not too big of a lot, but did give Wagstaff's Toyota in SLC some competition later on when Detroit was suffering the "2nd Bombing from Japan" with cars that were tons better in quality than what Detroit could make..along with the 2nd Oil Embargo being in full swing..

I had just bought my first Toyota from Wagstaff's Toyota downtown in 1976

I had a girlfriend who bought her Toyota from LHM Toyota later that year of his opening -"dang, she got a better deal from LHM than I did at Wagstaffs."

I remember when the Jazz were bad when the moved from NewOrleans and they had poor turnouts at the Salt Palace (true, that was a horribly small arena to play basketball-I went to a few Utah Stars games for the ABA back then when Moses Malone was their key player), but by the early 80's, the Jazz with Adrian Dantley started to make some noise in the league as a serious contender.

By the early 90's, the Salt Palace couldn't hold the attendance and LHM got the Delta Center up pretty quick to hold them.

He reached his pinnacle when expanding his empire in the cinema business and came out with something that people have never seen or witnessed: the Jordan Commons 17plex - massive 180k sq.ft complex with the mini city constructed within this building.

Yes, RIP Larry, you did SLC and UTAH justice

the State of UTAH asked that all flags be at half-staff during his mourning until after the funeral.

The viewing, open to the public, will be at the Energy Solutions (DELTA) Center on Friday the 27th of February.

The funeral, also open to the public is also at the Energy Solutions Center on Saturday, the 28th of February. Public will have the bleachers since the family will be using the main floor.

Definite a tribute for such a great individual who gave to his community and state.
