usually doesn't answer e-mails, so here is a thread in his honor.

http://www.tubesandmore.com/. for your cloth covered wire. Pretty inexpensive. Stick with 18-22 AWG UL 1015 for the base wire. It is rated for 600V 200 degree F. Several companys sell cloth covered wire, just avoid the standard 12V type used in automotive restoration. Its not suitable for antique electronics.

Awesome site. They have coil wire too, which I'll be needing. But I really could use a hevy gauge cloth cover camble of a few feet length. Something like maybe an antique starter/battery cable from an old car. It's only for a costume so actual specs don't matter much, just so long as it'll appear turn of the century-ish, and that it looks like it'll take alot of juice. I'm also gonna sweet talk a few of the cathod cable from one of the local theatres to appear like grounding leads.
