Going to be touring the west coast for the whole of August.
90% sure I'm making the trip at this point. Probably L.A, Vegas, S.F and Vancouver.

What is must-see, and what is a dirty tourist trap that I should probably avoid in these cities?

...Oh and I can't do Texas or Colorado this time around.

If you're driving and not in a big hurry, California State Route 1 along the coast is scenic to the max and unlikely to disappoint.
