I just found an old union election card stuck under the cardboard in an equally old film can. The card touts the electability of Geo. J. Schaffer for 7th v.p. of L.A. local 150. It has a picture of Mr. Shaffer. Anybody know how old this card might be? The back has a film footage/time chart.

I don't know how old the IA card is Bill but in 1960 when I worked as a studio electrician I was a "permit man" for 150. My home local was 577 in San Bernardino. (I'm sure that info will help you sleep better tonight.)

Thanks, Robert, history is always interesting. I find it fascinating when faces and names show up when least expected. The can is one of those very heavy ones with the cardboard lining. The card, judging from the suit and tie and stern pose is possibly from the '30s.

George Schaffer[spelling] was BA in local 150 in the fifties. I attended an IA convention in St Louis in 1956 . He was there.
