It goes without saying that HP has the worst scanning software ever created, but hopefully someone out there knows how to defeat their stupid "auto cropping" nonsense.

Basically if I put a stack of 8x11 pages into the sheet feeder of my Laserjet 3055, it will dutifully scan them all to pdf, but will randomly re-crop some of the pages losing most, if not all of the usable content. I can't even find a setting that will let me proof each page before it auto-crops and accepts its "guess". Is there anyone out there that has an HP scanner with these problems, and what did you do to fix it?

Which scanning SW are you using from HP? The one I have for the 7200 series shows a preview as it is scanning. When it's done with everything in the feeder you can scroll page by page and re-crop the way you want it.

How are you scanning? Directly on the device? From Adobe Acrobat? Have you read the scan section of the 430-page (!) user guide?

I finally found the little arrows that let me preview each page one by one before clicking the "accept" button, but I just want the damn thing to scan 8.5x11 sheets of paper and size to exactly that. [Mad]

Adam, I didn't see anything.
