I hate to ask like this, but I think my girlfriend's become a digital convert. She wants to see Dr Paranassus, and would prefer to do so in digital. It opens 35mm in some decent theatres in my area this weekend, but I was hoping somebody could point me to a theatre showing it in digital in the central/northern NJ or metro NYC areas, or at least alert me to some all-digital locations to check for it.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help, and sorry about the nature of the post.

Try putting this in the FHF or the digital forum you may have more luck.

Sony Pictures Classics doesn't usually do 2k releases, last time I checked and it has been awhile. They do release there material to Emerging Pictures, which does 720p releases to their clients.

I'd be interested to know if SPC has gone digital

While I can't help you with any NYC info, I can say that this is playing at at least one all digital complex here in Chicago, so it is available.

Though, I'd suggest asking your gf for a compromise: she gets the eye candy of Heath, Jude, Johnny & Colin - you get the eye candy of 35mm! [Big Grin]
