I was pretty excited to hear this news. I just wonder who they'll cast as the villain this time. I don't want to see Catwoman but would rather see the Riddler, maybe played by Johnny Depp, Daniel Day-Lewis or even David Hyde Pierce..

I think I've had just about enough Johnny Depp for a lifetime, so no thank you. Hopefully no Catwoman. And Robin is a deal-breaker.
Oh, and Nolan and his producer aren't interested in shooting it in 3D. Also, it will be shot on film. Not sure if it will be all-IMAX, though.

Batman vs Mumbles.
Now THATS one I'd pay to see. Batman villains are sooo boring now.
It's time to cross-pollinate comic book nasties.

..they could bring Jim Carrey back to reprise his role that he did in 1995's "Batman Forever"

No 3D shoot? Ugh. So that means Warners will 3D-ize it later I guess. What a dopey idea.
IMAX? I hope so... I just hope they don't destroy another IMAX camera in the process.

3D will be dead by then, anyway.

Yeah, but with the world ending in December anyway, you'd think they'd want to go out with a bang.

Nolan has said all along he has no interest in introducing Robin. Hopefully he sticks to that. As for villains, the rumors have been about getting to the ultimate brawl with Bane (done right of course, not like that crap in Batman & Robin), but who knows in which movie they will actually get to him. I personally think it would be a fantastic cameo to see Tony Shalhoub in a red gown being locked up

Nolan will not let his movie be 3D-ized. He and his cinematographer stated that they will not shoot in 3D or present a 3D film.

Yeah but Warner Bros. has said that all of their big event movies will be in 3-D so who will win this battle?

Duh... Nolan will win. Studios don't get too pushy when the director brings in a billion dollars worldwide.
