For those that may have worked in the Washington, DC area...Projectionist, Clarence Crews, has passed away. He was a superb projectionist that always provided his audiences the best performances. He also took really good care of his equipment...they never aged. Until his passing, his last booth was the MPAA in Washington, DC.
Clarence was not what I consider very old (just shy of his 64th birthday) so his passing was quite a bit of a shock.
There is to be a wake at:
Wednesday, April 6th 6:30 - 9:00 PM at the
Telegraph Station Coffee House
5735 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22303
Funeral arrangements and details for donations will be announced at a later date.

Thanks Steve. I knew Clarence back in the day. He was really a great person and a flawless projectionist. If I remember correctly, wasn't he once president of Local 224? I'll pass this on to some others I know who were once members.

Yes, Clarence served in several officer positions of Local 224, including President...which he also did quite well.
