In my recent visit to the States, I came accross this episode of what to me was an unknown series: American Pickers. This particular episode (#4 from season 2) features the two presenters running into a woman who is sitting on a warehouse full of projection equipment.

Has anyone seen it? Drooool...

Looks like Mark Gulbrandsen on the left there. I didn't know he was a picker!

I frequently watch the show but haven't seen that episode. Its amazing what kinda history they have just laying around in their basement/attic/barn. Its a very interesting show.

I watch the show frequently. I emailed them after that episode and identified the various pieces for them and told them how the components fit together. They didn't really know what the stuff was. Never heard back from them. They travel around the country looking for antique stuff they can "Make a buck on." They are Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz.

Yep, saw that one too. I also noticed the work print footage of Cape Fear that he had. A friend happened to work on that movie so I asked him who the projectionist was and he told me it was a guy by the name of Rex Downham. I've never heard of him before...

The collection was from a guy named Bill Goff. Back in August of 2010, his daughter (seen on the show) posted on Cinema Treasures that she was still looking for buyers. Link to post
