I loved OS2, but the lack of available software forced me across to Windblows.

My fax server and voice mail is a old 586 running warp 4 and in the last 15 years i think it has been rebooted twice only because we were moving

My first PC ran OS/2 2.1 I was at that age (18) when it's fun to be contrarian about everything, and couldn't bear the thought of Windows. Somehow the Mac world didn't register on my radar (I did have a friend who was an intense Amiga partisan though), so I made sure my first computer had 8 MB of RAM so I could run OS/2.

It really was pretty great, but as noted above the lack of 3rd party developer support made it increasingly untenable as a platform for personal use.

I remember installing OS/2 back in the early to mid nineties and then not being able to figure out how to get it to do anything once it was up.
