I contacted the National Media Museum a week or so ago and asked for dates of next year's Widescreen Weekend; work now require leave to be booked much further in advance than in previous years,

I received a reply saying that the dates had not yet been confirmed, but they would let me know as soon as they were; that information arrived this morning.

This year the festival moved from March to April, and there is another significant change next year. The Widescreen Weekend is being separated from the rest of the festival. The Main festival runs from the 11th - 21st April, and the Widescreen weekend from the 26th - 28th, with a couple of extra films on Monday 29th. Programme has not yet been released.
