Granted, the most intriguing buildings in Barcelona will be those envisaged by the mind of Antoni Gaudi, but there is the IMAX Port Vell which is near the city center. If you want a cheap/free souvenir, I believe the cultural ministry of La Generalitat distributes picture books for tourists to help with the language barrier- we actually used them in my Catalan course here in the states.
If you do make it to Madrid at all (I realize this is now in the middle of your visit), the largest cinema in terms of seating capacity is the 25 screen Kinepolis.
The folks over at Cinema Tour work to present photos of cinemas around the world, but naturally there are few submissions from outside the US, so if you get some shots of even the front of a cinema, I'm sure they'd love to add the Marin Zorica collection to their online repository : )
