Hi all......going to Berlin in few days, and looking now what is interesting to see, so if someone know any cool looking or some superb cinema, please suggest it....off course if they still run 35mm [Big Grin]

Also interested in other cool stuff, like imax cinema or so.

The Deutschen Kinemathek – Museum für Film und Fernsehen (German Cinematheque - museum of film and broadcasting) is right in the downtown tourist area, and a short walk from Checkpoint Charlie and the Tiergarten. It's only 7 euros to get in, which for the permanent exhibition alone is an absolute bargain compared to most museums in Britain and the US.

Please remember that in Germany, about 90~95% of all cinemas show dubbed versions in German language. There are a few exceptions though, that also show "Original Version" (OV) programmings. Look for OV/OF (Original Version) or OVmU/OFmU (Original Version with Subtitles).

If you're looking for a first run cinema in Berlin, there is one notable exception, they run just Original Versions: CineStar Original in the Sony Center, the big entertainment complex at the Potsdamer Platz, where the Deutsche Kinemathek is also located. Unfortunately, it's just a modern multiplex though, nothing really noteworthy.

There is also a webpage in German with a very complete overview of all cinemas in Berlin, it's called the Kino Kompendium. Maybe you don't understand everything on that page, but at least you can have a look at the pictures [Wink]
