I just wrote up a "cookbook" on how I handle my email by aggregating the mail from several different accounts and accessing it both locally and remotely from my laptops and my Android phone.

I find this system very convenient and handy, plus I don't have to hand my life over to Google or whoever in order to do it as the whole thing lives on the computer under my desk.
