Apparently this was probably some type of Competition against CINERAMA. It debuted in Houston and supposedly didn't go over that Great. 2 Projectors probably 70mm on a Screen that appears to have a Larger Arc than a Cinerama Screen. Looks like it didn't last very Long...

Widescreen Museum article from Marty Hart

Michael Coate, from his REMEMBERING CINERAMA articles, reports this ran for 1-week beginning on 8/9/1956 at the Houston Metropolitan. He also shows 1-week screenings in Philadelphia on 1/21/57 at the Fox, and at the California in San Diego on 2/1/57.

Having the join line between the 2 projector's image in the dead center of the screen does not seem like a great idea.

This brings back memories when I serviced the Windsor Theatre in Houston in the late 70's & all of the 80's, they had the three projector setup, I serviced only the 35/70mm when the theater was converted to a twin...too sad to see, but what a palace that was in it's day....
