We're going to Hawaii for three weeks, and we'll probably want to catch one of the summer blockbusters while we're there. Any suggestions for a theater with good presentation?

The island of Oahu here in Hawaii has two highly rated theatres. - Consolidated's Ward Centre 16 with their Titan XC house that features a 60 foot screen with Dolby Atmos. The other, Is Regal's Dole Cannery 18 that has Digital IMAX and RPX. The RPX house does not have Dolby Atmos but I am hoping they will eventually get it. Both theatres are in the city of Honolulu I used the frequent the Ward a lot years ago but I now see my movies at either the Dole Cannery or Regal's Pearl Highland 16 located in Pearl City the next town from Waipahu where I live. If you like 3-D, the Ward features Dolby 3-D and Regal has Real D.
Both the Ward and Dole Cannery have large 600+ seat auditoriums. The Ward has four including the Titan XC house and the Dole has about eight.

It is too bad the theatres in Waikiki no longer exists anymore because at one time, the Waikiki #1 and #2 were considered among the best theatres in the United States. The other theatre, the original Waikiki (#3) was also highly rated. The Kuhio was not in the same league as the other Waikiki houses because Consolidated (Pacific Theatres) ruined it when they twined it. It was a fantastic theatre when it was a single screen house with 70mm and a very large screen. Royal Theatres, a company that no longer exists anymore also operated a theatre in Waikiki. it was the Royal and located on Kuhio Avenue. It too was a large house with a big screen and 70mm. It was the first and possibly the only theatre to have a sneak preview of GREASE in the country.
