What movies are best to see on the Big Screen

Making accurate predictions about the future is pretty hard. While you can extrapolate how technology evolves somehow, many things in life aren't based on logical principles but just based on factors that nobody really can foresee.

To keep it closer to home: Why did VHS win and not Betamax for example? In hindsight, you can explain part of it, but nobody could realistically have predicted this in the early 1980s.

I remember that VHS/Betamax battle. We sold the Zenith TVs at the time, and they got in bed with Sony to supply VCRs, so we were stuck in the Beta camp. Soon as VHS came out with their long-ass tapes I had a feeling it was going to be curtains for Betamax.
