If you already have a JSD-60, it does seem like a quick fix if you take the analog output of the CP750, feed it into the analog input of the JSD-60, and select drive in mode on the JSD-60 using the Windows GUI. This is described at http://ftp.uslinc.com/Products/JSD-6...06.pdf#page=38 . It's a bit round about, but seems like it would get the job done. When running 5.1 or 7.1 content that you need to mix down to 2.0, you coud pull the connector going to the amplifiers out of the CP750 and plug it into the JSD-60. It looks like the pinouts are the same. Then run a cable from the CP750 outputs to the JSD-60 It looks like both the CP750 and JSD-60 are using the THX pinout. Drive in mode on the JSD-60 will correctly drive left and right with an LCR mix. The other outputs, though, are intended for drive in uses. But, the JSD-60 is very configurable, so you can set up any mix you want such as LC mix to left, RC mix to right, and surrounds straight through.

    Good luck!

Could one in theory insert a JSD-60 with no EQ after the primary processor on the analog outputs just to get that mix down feature in a pinch? I happen to own one, so curious if that method is viable as well.
I would just come off the server direct into the JSD-60, and hook your amps into there. Keep it simple.

I agree that is simple, but requires a full b-chain on the JSD-650. If we wanted this capability all the time doing that would make sense, but in a pinch with a loaner JSD-650, and no in tech contract to EQ the room again, the downstream processor doing nothing but the mix down seems simpler in some ways.

Though I suppose a b-chain for a mixdown 2 channel config is quite a bit easier. I fact you’d probably need to reset delays on the upstream processor anyway and the new channel config kinda demands a new EQ. There is not much b-chain that can be inherited realistically.

Again, just academic at this point.
