One time i heard of a kid in a cinemark in some foreign state who was horseplaying near a platter with a large 44oz. coke in his hand. Can you guess wwhat happened next? uh-oh he spilleed the whole drink onto a running movie. Big mistake that one?

Speaking of "Kids" in the booth: At a theatre I used to work in we needed another projectionist and the manager suggested hiring a teenager claiming that a teenager would be more motivated. Instead we hired a 46 year-old "kid" and trained him from scratch. He quickly became a very good projectionist and is now the head operator at that theatre. And he is now in the process of training a 60 year-old "kid" from scratch. But I agree that age doesn't really matter. The real problem is that the employers don't treat projection as a professional job and that makes it harder for people (young and old) to get motivated.
