The theater was supposed to cash in the copper, then donate the money to Will Rodgers. But, I'm sure you will not be surprised when tell you that many times, that did not happen.An older guy I worked with was *nuts* about getting and selling copper. He would actually keep track of stubs, and many times would declare a 6" length "used-up." I would work on little electric "booth-projects" and he was always asking; "Are you going to use that peice of wire... it's too short for anything..I can have it, OK..?" He would sit there with a pen knife, peeling away. Then, he would just thread-up; never washed his hands until he went home. Sorry, but it drove me nuts, as you can see....!
