I thought they were well designed for their purpose, and are still useful. So, I would at least try to fix them rather then replace. Admittedly, the last one made must about 30 years old now. I've noticed that the tanks on some of them start to rust through. No worry about leaks then. I certainly will keep that one in mind for my next high power project. Considering what a Standard circulator goes for these days buying anything but the Kinoton circulator would be a waste of $$. Pat, If you run a high wattage lamp on a JJ for more than several shows the Strong Circulator, since it is literally a closed system, will just keep getting hotter and hotter and hotter.....till it gets to be coffee time! I have actually seen the water/antifreze get a bit steamy. Some projectors water systems are more efficient at heating the water than others. A DP-70 and a JJ for instance have pretty efficient cooling so the water temp rises rapidly. Mark @ GTS  |  IP: Logged
