Interesting! We've never heard of or encountered this, even on narrow slits.

That said, we are doing things differently on some machines. We are physically clamping the laser mount to the back of the optic tube, thus avoiding any chance of the laser moving relative to the optic, which can be a problem when fitting the laser in place of the exciter lamp.
