Author Topic: Flicker on an older simplex Gordon McLeod Film God Posts: 9532 From: Toronto Ontario Canada Registered: Jun 99 posted 11-16-2001 11:00 AM                     According to Christies publication from the late 60's on design of xenon powersupplies They state that since the lamps represents a almost dead short to the powersupply especially during ignition it is nesasarry to design sufficient reactance into the supply to limit current. I guess i'll find out tonight whether it works or not. Ill just shut it off for half an hour and short out the caps after to get rid of any charge. Ill let you guys know how it turns out!
