Author Topic: Whats wrong with this picture Steven DeBoom Film Handler Posts: 1 From: Park City, Utah Registered: Oct 2010 posted 11-03-2010 11:28 PM                     I have moved several prints by myself in booth do to the fact that most of the time it for a break down and no one else is in the building or available to assist me. I have used a clamp on a very loose print with assistance once. However I would never lift carry or in any other way handle a film that large in that manner. The teaser title, that's what. And even if that were permitted, there is no question mark at the end. Back on topic, the Strong platters I had at the UA Greenwood Plaza would all wrap prints super-tight, making it effortless even for the short girl projectionist to move the 70mm Titanic print by herself with one hand (a quarter of all of our auditoriums featured 70mm capability). Chad left us some years ago to take over another theater in the Pittsburgh market and has since left the business all together. He now works for a regional electrical power corporation and is married. I last saw him over the summer when he stopped in for a quick visit to the booth to check out our new digital equipment. I learned my lesson the hard way and a couple of all night shifts picking up prints that were dropped (by my helper dropping his end) twice. I ALWAYS clamp. I think I'm the only one though.
